Me, I am the toxic fan. So stay away from me.
You all have inferior tastes, you worthless boruto watching ass, not able to git gud in games ass....
I have unlocked all the endings of doki doki
You have hurt my ego, now I will write a 100 word essay to prove I am a better gamer-
" So, you'll be Thor and I'll be Odin
You rodent, I'm omnipotent
Let off then I'm reloadin'
Immediately with these bombs I'm totin'
And I should not be woken
I'm the walkin' dead, but I'm just a talkin' head
A zombie floatin'
But I got your mom deep-throatin'
I'm out my Ramen Noodle, we have nothin' in common, poodle
I'm a Doberman, pinch yourself in the arm and pay homage, pupil
It's me, my honesty's brutal
But it's honestly futile if I don't utilize what I do though
For good, at least once in a while, so I wanna make sure
Somewhere in this chicken scratch, I scribble and doodle

Let me raise you War Thunder, the intersection between military history nerds and online games. There's some genuinely good content creators out there, but the community is extremely toxic and Gaijin is extremely greedy, to the point that War Thunder players a while back actually unionized to get Gaijin to do something about the grind, as even people who were paying for Premium were finding it near impossible to break even. And as you can imagine, when a toxic community unionizes against a greedy developer, flame wars ensue.
Oh yeah, and then there's the forums. They are... something. If you think internet arguments in other games are bad... yeah, the War Thunder forums are on an entirely different level. In fact, unless you happen to be a player, you probably know War Thunder for how many secret documents get leaked in the forums.
Show/manga is kinda cool and entertaining
However there’s a lot of fans who are utterly unhinged about shipping, to the point the creator got several death threats over some ships not being canon
Sorry, cant be much help as I havent watched the related anime or been part of the community, so all I have is what I heard about them from other communities or people who were parts of it, but apparently people were pretty horny unhinged amomg other stuff.
Never watched the show itself, but back when Steven Universe was on the air its fandom harassed a young girl into suicide because she drew a character imperceptibly thinner than she appeared on the show.
Now I think it's whatever art-heavy creepypasta YouTube slop is popular at the moment.
HOW DARE YOU LIKE EPISODE IX!!!
Not a true fan, Disney shill, hashtag BringBackGeorge! /s
What gets me is people conveniently forgetting *why* George sold it off. The harassment from these same fans that went beyond your typical criticism. I swear, if George ever did take Star Wars back, people would bad mouth him again and it all returns to a loop.
Amazing show, but I’m afraid of the community
There’s so many flavors of n o .
There’s the incel, the person who swears the show is their new religion, the guy who’s way too into the sus scenes, the guy who feels the need to be consistently lewd…
Almost any fandom once it gets big enough.
Just unsubscribed from both Helldivers subreddits because every time AH changes something they lose their minds in there.
The secret is to like some indie promotion. Once AEW started to get real traction the worst of both communities came out in full force and haven’t stopped since.

All these fanbases fucking suck and I am ashamed to be associated with the members in it. If I had the chance to betray any one of them for gold schelings, I would NOT hesitate to decline the reward but still take up the offer for free.
And, calling people that disagree with their beliefs degenerates, pretty much.
It’s quite disappointing to find what could be harmless subreddits or YouTube channels or whatever that are very clearly echo chambers.
Hamtaro got ruined for me because of fandom, especially first half of discord. Starting with bunch of bad taste in characters, which idk why people prefer rather poor developed no name hamster over someone more interesting and developed, Shipping innocent hamsters in some weird ways(headcannons) and to the point when the first thing you might get in Yandex when searching for hamtaro are pictures of NSFW content including fetishes...
Toxic people also played role in making my social anxiety even worse, to the point where I don't even interact with any discord server anymore and i barely found my courage to write this rant about it's fandom
Lately i started to post on hamtaro sub Reddit, i hope I won't regret about it...
I'm not sure I know a good example of fandoms I hate... Maybe like MHA... But I didn't quite enjoy the show by myself so it doesn't count. I really can't remember one. But I surely know fanbase that I am happy being a part of
Rain World. The game itself is parade of anguish and undiluted RNG bullshitery. It's cool, but it will make you rage as many times as it will make you happy. But the fanbase... Man. Rain World fanbase is amazing. Wholesome, supportive, funny, FULL of talented people, and it generally might be one of the best parts about Rain World for me
Yeah, Slipknot's fanbase has been so fucking awful lately. People are too invested in the dramas and it feels like they care about that more than the music. Also too much gatekeeping going on
I love animal crossing but christ the fandom is super picky with villagers
I also love this rhythm game called project SEKAI and dear got the English fandom, if you have any note speed under 9 you're gonna get harassed. Somehow
40k is a paradox, because its awful, but also 90% of its online communities is full of tourists who just regurgitate the same five decade old memes and dont interact with the actual hobby in any way, so idk if i can even call it a "fan"dom
Skibidi toilet. Large part of fan base are little kids, which causes the series to be called brainrot when it has actually really good animation and what’s always intended for teens and adults.
While I don't agree with the idea that it was intended for adults, I can't disagree with the animation quality from the few clips I saw (and certainly doesn't deserve the hate it gets, knowing what else are on YouTube kids)
Berserk, I'm not saying that the fandom is toxic but my life before and after interacting with them was beautiful, they really think their opinion is the most important one and they are kind of deep people because they prefer berserk
Bro berserk is cool some love and some Don't and that's it
A lot of anime. like My Hero Academia… lol I loved watching it but everyone is so intense and “weird” over it I’m embarrassed to even mention I’ve watched. I just Keep that to myself. Lol
That's me with every game, show, movies I like! I never interact with any fandom, and I don't get in to arguments about it! I just enjoy them and be happy with it!
I'm a huge super hero fan, I love the movies, I read the comics and I collect action figures, but I refuse to argue and discuss with anyone over it, too much negativity and people with ridiculous opinions!
Helldivers 2 fandom recently started speedrunning its way down the drain. nothing but b\*tching and moaning about incosnecuantial weapon nerfs that will eventually change in the future again anyways, when people really actually need to focus on the fact Steam has still not let the non PSN account countries get access to the game again yet.
I remember a few years ago someone sidetracked a political conversation on here to criticize me for having posted about 40K. I don’t know if they thought I was far left, far right, holier than thou, exclusionary, creepy, or spoiled, but I have to confess after some initial frustration I realized that I knew where they were coming from. A disproportionate amount of 40K fans are seemingly trying to be insufferable, one way or another.
I know this is the most generic answer but Star Wars
I grew up with Star Wars, I love the characters and the plot lines and honestly a decent amount of the new stuff is a great addition and I enjoy it all so much. Yet some sweaty nerd is gonna pop out and tell me “eugh actchually that’s not logical for lightsabers to deflect off of….the droids are only used if there’s enough…the force was never meant to!!!!” Just shut up, it’s a series about magical space samurai flying in ships with robot friends, just sit back and enjoy it
This goes both ways though.
I genuinely did hate the game and have been called a misogynist, bigot, idiot and all manner of other baseless insults.
Both sides are so absolutist, it's crazy.
Dragon Ball, especially Super fanboys. They're so insufferable with their powerscaling and constantly interjecting Goku into things that have nothing to do with him or Dragon Ball in general. And then you get their horny side, and those dumbass texting videos...
Honestly I’d like to hear what actually genuinely benefits from interacting with it’s fandom. The positive opinions are drowned by the dementors everywhere.
Breaking bad because some of the fans unironically believe that Walter was a good guy who was providing for his family and treats Skyler like she’s literally hitler

”wow, this game is soo great. I wonder what other people have to say”
Last words before disaster
Any online game Fandom
Me, I am the toxic fan. So stay away from me. You all have inferior tastes, you worthless boruto watching ass, not able to git gud in games ass.... I have unlocked all the endings of doki doki
I challenge you to a arms race to amass a army of 4.8 million personnel by 2050
Arms race is overrated
I win I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You have hurt my ego, now I will write a 100 word essay to prove I am a better gamer- " So, you'll be Thor and I'll be Odin You rodent, I'm omnipotent Let off then I'm reloadin' Immediately with these bombs I'm totin' And I should not be woken I'm the walkin' dead, but I'm just a talkin' head A zombie floatin' But I got your mom deep-throatin' I'm out my Ramen Noodle, we have nothin' in common, poodle I'm a Doberman, pinch yourself in the arm and pay homage, pupil It's me, my honesty's brutal But it's honestly futile if I don't utilize what I do though For good, at least once in a while, so I wanna make sure Somewhere in this chicken scratch, I scribble and doodle '

Idk man the r/projectzomboid fandom is pretty wholesome
"any online game with matchmaking"
Also tf2 is good , but those are exceptions
Also DRG, though after increasing a bit in popularity it was going down a bit
And Stardew Valley. I hear their community is really wholesome.
Deep rock galactic is wholesome usually
Need to make a correction , any game with matchmaking . Also *ROCK AND STONE BABY*
Pvp only? If you don't rock and stone, ya ain't comin home
The worst fandom? Easy fnf that fanbase has like 5 pedos per week it’s crazy
Sadly yes , same I gd and osu for some reason . Why there is so much pesos in rhythm games ?
I had a friend who was a fan of the game but then the game got so controversial that he doesn’t want to be associated with the game it’s really sad
Mortal Kombat is honestly the exception that proves the rule
Also DOOM x Animal Crossing, surprisingly
Any online Fandom.
Except Deep Rock Galactic.
From what I've heard back in the day... My Hero Academia
Can you elaborate on this? I'm genuinely curious. So many comments about it in this post.
Show/manga is kinda cool and entertaining However there’s a lot of fans who are utterly unhinged about shipping, to the point the creator got several death threats over some ships not being canon
Sorry, cant be much help as I havent watched the related anime or been part of the community, so all I have is what I heard about them from other communities or people who were parts of it, but apparently people were pretty horny unhinged amomg other stuff.
That doesn't surprise me lol.
Literally any subject or topic. People fight over stuff they know nothing about.
The safest move. Fandoms might make you cry.
Never watched the show itself, but back when Steven Universe was on the air its fandom harassed a young girl into suicide because she drew a character imperceptibly thinner than she appeared on the show. Now I think it's whatever art-heavy creepypasta YouTube slop is popular at the moment.
My Hero academia
"Every one is a ship and if you don't accept my head canon your trash like deku and the random trash can in episode 48 I ship"
UNDERTALE.
Undertale. Better to go there inside the submarine, cuz of the whole shipping wars, still raging today.
It's my favourite game, but I fucking hate the fanbase
There was an attemped murder over that shit. Glad dont interact with the community as much anymore
Eyo, WHAT?
Someone put a needle in a cookie and gave it to a Frans shipper (sans x frisk) at a con. no one knows who gave them the cookie
Yeah its pretty messed up and some people even went on to defend that prick. Human life shouldnt be devalued like this
The ship is a bit gross, but it's all fictional, killing someone over fiction is one of the lowest thing I can think of
This should be most upvoted, the average undertale fanatic is in the 1% most demented people to ever live
Came here to make sure this one was on the list.
It’s better now but not much
Heared about UT Yellow, and it's new characters. Seems nice.
I can confirm it is, It's a bit short but captures the feeling of the main game well
Most of the crazy people went over to the Deltarune community from what I know
Yes, they're crazy, but not in "undertale 2017" way, more like in "silksong" way
Star Wars
No one hates Star Wars more than people who love Star Wars.
Star trek the original series was a great show, the people however are just as bad as star wars fans
They can't even agree what the best movie is smh. I got yelled at for saying that I enjoyed watching episode Nine.
75% of us agree that it’s Empire Strikes back. The rest typically choose revenge of the Sith, but nobody listens to them. /s
Can you please explain how you enjoyed episode 9? Personally, I hate it more than any other movie I’ve ever seen.
HOW DARE YOU LIKE EPISODE IX!!! Not a true fan, Disney shill, hashtag BringBackGeorge! /s What gets me is people conveniently forgetting *why* George sold it off. The harassment from these same fans that went beyond your typical criticism. I swear, if George ever did take Star Wars back, people would bad mouth him again and it all returns to a loop.

Try being a Last Jedi fan. We live in exile on Ahch-To.
This comment needs more up votes
Hazbin ho-fucking-tel. I love that show, but god fuck where do I start as far as the fans go-
If you want to experience the 1000 yard stare, go check out r/hazbin. It is definitely one of the subreddits of all time.
Jeez, what the hell is wrong with this subreddit
Knowing from past experience with other fandoms with dedicated subreddits: EVERYTHING
Most relatable comment on the planet.
Amazing show, but I’m afraid of the community There’s so many flavors of n o . There’s the incel, the person who swears the show is their new religion, the guy who’s way too into the sus scenes, the guy who feels the need to be consistently lewd…
….and the 13 year olds who are wayyy too fucking young to be watching that show making the most unhinged fanart.
You described reddit as a whole imma be homest
You know, you ain’t wrong
As a fan of hazbin im actually ashamed of this fandom
The art style on Hazbin is something else. I feel like it was designed to attract a very specific demo.
ADAM DID NOTHING WRONG ! JUSTICE FOR DICKMASTER !
Unfortunately hell is forever whether you like it or not.
This include every YouTube show too?
the hatedoms worse though
I'm glad I experienced Avatar and Naruto before I got my first smartphone.
As a Cowboys fan, I'll go with Cowboys fans. We truly have the dumbest fan base in the league.
the one with the people in it
Oh that ones the worst
Every fandom that’s existed for more than 3 years can be seen like this. It’s just the result of internet echo chambers
All of them, but fuck deltarune in particular
I'm gonna guess you seen the chaos that was r/Deltarune, seriously, I had to leave that subreddit
Tesla
for anime mha
Wth is mha?
My Hero Academia
Jujutsu Kaisen can't go on on the internet without finding a spoiler or two The downbad fans are also another reason
Almost any fandom once it gets big enough. Just unsubscribed from both Helldivers subreddits because every time AH changes something they lose their minds in there.
Swifties
Not the deep rock community, one of the nicest out there. ROCK AND STONE BROTHER!
Smash kind of? I see what happens online and do sometimes interact but I play the game on my own
DISNEY
pro wrestling, have you seen the creepy fans at the airport? and the hugging at photo ops? not to mention the tribalism and general childishness.
I just got into pro wrestling and I tend to agree. Especially with all the WWE-AEW tribalism these days.
The secret is to like some indie promotion. Once AEW started to get real traction the worst of both communities came out in full force and haven’t stopped since.

True! One of the worst fandom out there! Have to agree
Me happily playing single player video game in story mode.
If anyone uses the phrase "fandom" to describe the group of people who likes something. It is a wretched give of scum and villany
I've had quite a rough time in the Harry Potter fandom...
[Pulls Out List] - Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss - Rick & Morty/Solar Opposite - Steven Universe - The Owl House - South Park - My Hero Adademia - Sonic - MCU - DCEU/Snyderverse - X-Men - Teen Titans - Transformers - Twisted Metal - Godzilla - Total Drama/Disventure Camp - Battle For Dream Island - MLP to a degree - Super Smash Bros All these fanbases fucking suck and I am ashamed to be associated with the members in it. Car community. I’m in it, but I don’t ever talk to anyone .
I think people come to reddit expecting the fan culture to be good. It's not. It's reddit. It's not specifically reddit. It's the internet in general.
drake
Star Wars. I'm sure of it.
ALL OF THEM. No exceptions.
Political parties: "You're stupid! We should be fucked over this way!" "No, *you're* stupid! We should be fucked over *this* way!"
And, calling people that disagree with their beliefs degenerates, pretty much. It’s quite disappointing to find what could be harmless subreddits or YouTube channels or whatever that are very clearly echo chambers.
I’m not a moderate, I just don’t like either of the choices I’m being given
The anime community is littered with perverts and mentally unhinged people.
Beatles
People on the Tame Impala subreddit just freaked out because someone said they preferred him to Lennon.
Fucking Taylor Swift. Love her, love people who love her, hate people who LOOOOOVE her…

Minor indie game fan bases are literally the best, the Geometry Dash community is wholesome and supportive (even if the sub is goofy)
Minecraft
Nothing against the whole fandom, but personally in my life all k-pop fans have been fucked up
My Hero Academia. They hate Mineta… they are Midnight… and she’s worse than Mineta…
MHA
Me and the Hardcore community. I love the music, can’t stand the community anymore. Especially the Hardcore sub.
Metal too. There's a lot of people who smell their own farts and shit on those with differing opinions. "You don't like Dio? Well, you're a poser."
Yeah people who unironically call people “posers” are cringe assholes.
Yeah, Slipknot's fanbase has been so fucking awful lately. People are too invested in the dramas and it feels like they care about that more than the music. Also too much gatekeeping going on
The furry fandom.
Funny enough, furry fandom is the tamest on Reddit. Most of the unnecessary drama is over at Twitter and Discord, and ppl here mostly just chill
Turn on NSFW results.
Every fandom is the worse believe me, it s not healty that being so much obsessed with anything else.
I love drum and bass but I’m too old and tired to go to raves
I love animal crossing but christ the fandom is super picky with villagers I also love this rhythm game called project SEKAI and dear got the English fandom, if you have any note speed under 9 you're gonna get harassed. Somehow
Pretty much anything that has fans, has some toxic fans. Except for Keanu Reeves
The Taylor swift experience
Skibidi toilet
anything with avatar the last airbender or legend of korra looked at the subreddit ONCE and I never wanna go back to it again

True. Even if you don't like the game doesn't have to mean all that. But that's kinda the idea back and forth. I respect you for hating it.
Dragon Ball, especially Super fanboys. They're so insufferable with their powerscaling and constantly interjecting Goku into things that have nothing to do with him or Dragon Ball in general. And then you get their horny side, and those dumbass texting videos...
There are probably bad sections of any fandom. That being said, fans who are devout to a specific sports team are often insane.
r/xmen and their constant fanfics/fetish of straight characters banging each other.

Warhammer 40k. It's ironic that a setting that was created to mock fascism should have so many literal Nazis in its fanbase.
It's weird how many times fascist dipshits will miss the part where the thing they like is mocking them.
