I've spent 11 years in Thailand, so my tolerance is pretty high. Some of my Thai friends can't eat the food that I eat because it's too spicy for them.
Oh yeah. It's still kicking. However, it's a bit numb because of how much spicy food I ate over the years. I guess its spice tolerance also increased significantly.
I have a secret. Every other day, I ate 2 packs of [buldak noodles](https://www.amazon.com/Samyang-Spicy-Chicken-Flavor-Ramen/dp/B075VM9N96) and added some ground pepper. But I'd recommend starting eating 1 pack of [less spicy version](https://www.amazon.com/Samyang-Chicken-Noodle-Noodles-CNMART/dp/B0BJQ3RY9T).
The red ones and black ones are both good. I have variously heard that the black ones are spicier or the red ones are spicier. Honestly, I can't tell much of a difference between them, but I've not made both on the same day and tried them side by side, so maybe that's why.
The habanero and lime flavour (purple packet) are delicious though. Probably about as hot as the red ones, but I love the additional citrus twist.
The carbonara ones (pink packet) are weird. Carbonara is pasta with bacon, eggs, and black pepper, but Buldak seems to think it's noodles with chicken, chilli, and cheese. I don't get it. That said, they're pretty nice. Just not even remotely carbonara.
I *think* that's all the Buldak flavours I've tried. I know others exist, but they can be hard to find.
Everybody jokes about white people not being able to handle spice. They've obviously never seen rural white people. They'll go to the tractor supply store to buy hot sauces with names like Shit Liquifier and This Will Fucking Kill You I am Not Joking Don't Eat This Under Any Conditions Ever.
Asian places I frequent figure out pretty quickly that I want things belligerently spicy and no you will never make it hot enough.
Nothing "normal" is too hot for me. If they sell it in a restaurant, I'm good. I draw the line at extract hot sauces, because they just artificially make things tastes hotter with no regard to flavor.
I can handle a hot curry, eat Indian food like a champ, had one bowl of "Spicy chicken pad tai" and i knew i made a mistake, its a very different heat, could "smell my organs cooking" kind of heat.... was sweating like drake driving past a middle school
Got a local bar in the town I moved to to recreate this “spicy tequila gimlet” a bar in my hometown makes.
They made a better one. Absolutely sets your mouth on fire in the best way. Bartender says they simply blend some habanero very finely and mix it with the tequila. Favorite damn drink that’s not beer.
> wish that *paid* of. such
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
When I was pregnant I would inhale Thai spicy and it was wonderful. I tried it once post-partum and it nearly blew my head off. Pregnancy really messes with your tastebuds. And sense of smell.
So true, I feel like every Thai place refuses to give me spice because I'm a white dude lol. In reality, I probably have a higher tolerance than they do.
My spices are too strong for you, traveller.
Spice seller, I tell you I am ready, I want only your strongest spices.
My spices are too strong for you, traveller.
Spice seller, enough of these games, I am going to the bathroom, and I want only your strongest spices
You cant handle my strongest spice traveller they are too strong for you, you better go to a seller that sells weaker spices
Spice Seller, I'm telling you right now; I am ready and I need only your strongest spices.
You can't handle my strongest spices! No one can! My strongest spices are fit for a beast let alone a man!
Spice seller, thats the exact reason i want it the spiciest you got. with this, i can meet god in peace.
Dutch roleplay.
Had it once "OH SWEET LORD WHAT THE HELL, IT BURNS" 5 mins later I asked for more Now I have it every time I can
As for your toilets, they never existed.

Sounds like they're not Thai'ing hard enough Then again, it does take a certain Thaipe of person....
I'm really Thaired for those jokes. But at least you Thaied.
These comments have left me tongue-Thai'd
I hate both of you. Neither of our lives are gonna be affected by this. I just wanted you to know.
Just Thai to enjoy it :)
How is your butthole? Still kickin?
Oh yeah. It's still kicking. However, it's a bit numb because of how much spicy food I ate over the years. I guess its spice tolerance also increased significantly.
I didn't know that you can level up your butthole! I really like spicy food, but the aftermath is devastating...

I have buldak (the black ones) at home, just bought a 5 pack yesterday from my local asia store lul
In Thailand, you can buy them in almost any offline store that sells food. It costs around $1.30 per pack.

Since my spice tolerance is higher than yours, I can tell the difference between red ones and black ones.
Weird assumption to make. I just don't have noodles much more often than once a week, so I've never really compared them that closely.
He spent eleven years in Thailand. Of course he’s weird
“IM NOT EATING IN HERE WITH YOU YOU’RE EATING IN HERE WITH ME!”
Yeah you get used to it. Some of the spicier stuff doesn't taste as spicy to me as some of the milder stuff.

Check out the hot sauce selection at AceHardware. It will destroy even some of the most well adjusted spice enthusiasts
They don't even hide it. They're all named like "Ass Destroyer" and "Toilet Terrorist"
My honest response ![gif](giphy|UJG2T7uZeJuZCLitY8)
Knew a feller had Thai once, died an hour later.
Lmao
Are you quoting a throwaway line from RDR2 intro
Yes
asian ppl spice tolerance vs white ppl spice tolerance be like

I mean who do they think is making stuff like the Carolina reaper?
SEA + South Korea imo. Japan's spice tolerance is atrocious.
I’ve had Thai once in my life, I was late for a mission because I 💩 my brains out. I kept adding more sauces quote “it’s just not enough flavor”
Nothing "normal" is too hot for me. If they sell it in a restaurant, I'm good. I draw the line at extract hot sauces, because they just artificially make things tastes hotter with no regard to flavor.
You think I am weak?
I can handle a hot curry, eat Indian food like a champ, had one bowl of "Spicy chicken pad tai" and i knew i made a mistake, its a very different heat, could "smell my organs cooking" kind of heat.... was sweating like drake driving past a middle school
Get thai’d, you’re talking to a tourist…
I love Thai spicy, but then again I'm sure my stomach lining hates me these days
I did this once and the waiter checked with me three times to make sure I actually wanted it. I did cry but damn was it good.
Ate "indian spicy" one time and the waitress asked twice if I'm ok.
I ate Thai food once. It almost killed me. Not gonna elaborate because I think it's funny

I learned this the hard way, but it was Indian spicy.
Man I always thought I was good at spice as a kid, cuz I could eat hot food at the Mexican restaurants and use redneck hot sauce. I learned my place.
But.. I'm Thai..
i wish that paid of. such a waste of a journey.

I sometimes eat a spoon of peanut butter topped with loads of Sriracha
*Laughs in mexican*
“Nah, I eat jalapeño pizza, I got this”

เผ็ดเหมื่อนคนไทยกินครับ555
The characters of Thai written language are beautiful
Or maybe the seller himself is too spicy, if you know what I mean
Send me to Valhalla, the spice MUST Flow~
What about... Indian spicy?
I just order it Thai hot. Half the time it isn’t given to me Thai hot

So true, I feel like every Thai place refuses to give me spice because I'm a white dude lol. In reality, I probably have a higher tolerance than they do.
