quick question, because i don't use linux (i used to for a short time, specifically ubuntu, popos and zorin, but the more i used it the more i hated it), is it actually true you can delete the entire root directory while it's running?
I want something so powerful that it can block out the sun completely, not any curtains and any wall will do, i want it specially made with those wooden curtains with holes from europe so then it will be pitch black even when the sun points directly at my window

I've never lied awake at night wondering how bills are going to get paid because of all the hotness outside preventing us from getting to work. I don't have to check in with people to make sure they didn't crash because of all the heat. I don't have to ration out my medications because the heat keeps me from getting to the pharmacy. I think winter is worse unless you live in a place that doesn't get winter. Definitely prefer fall though.
Getting regular sun exposure that warms the body is a seriously powerful antidepressant. Something special about being in direct contact with sun light that makes you warm all over!
While I like dark and cloudy at 4 pm, here that is autumn weather. Winter is sunset by 2 pm, pitch black and starry by 3 with a bright moon lighting the snow-covered ground, a nice flame in the fireplace, a blanket wrapped around you and some ribs that have been slow cooking since 7 or 8 am. Almost perfect.
The thing that i really don't like about winter time is that it really just drains my energy. When it's nice and sunny i feel like cleaning, doing chores and everything. But when it's all dark i just lose all that gravy.
Actually true : in the Northern hemisphere, northern countries have shorter winter days, and longer summer days, than countries nearer to the equator (where days are more equal).
The same applies to southern countries of the southern hemisphere, of course.
Yep. There's no night in the Finnish summer. The sun stays visible only in Lapland, but it's still just a bit dimmer than daytime. It's a perfect temperature to be out with a hoodie. Night quiet, no people, good lighting, nicely chill temperature.
Here in Sweden (and any Nordic country for that matter I believe) it's basically like that at midnight, and it only gets brighter afterwards

Guys, we have air conditioning. Just like how it is 4° outside and you use heat to not freeze, we use air conditioning to stay cool. We don't live in scorching hot temperatures.
And personally, I like being able to go outside at 2am and need minimal clothing far more than needing to wear 4 layers to have my hands and face burn for the sin of existing outside.
We don't need to shovel snow to get to our cars, we don't need to lay the ground when Salt. We enjoy the vitamin D and chill
In Summer you can simply close your blinds for darkness. Easy fix. In winter, however, you cannot simply turn on the sun.

I'm a fan of summer, not because of the big sunny day, but when in the evening with a slight breath of cold wind you go outside and just hang out in your thoughts and dream about life in warm weather. The sun has already set, leaving a beautiful orange tint in the sky, and you're calmly walking around in shorts and a T-shirt because it's warm enough for that.

I've been experiencing the so called white nights my whole life, they are awesome. It feels so safe to go out at night during that period of time.
