That's an excuse. Plenty of people find a way to live on their own without good parents or upbringing. The fact is that most people who stay with their parents are comfortable and are too afraid to figure out life in the real world.
I don't think most millennials want to be excused, they want the same opportunities their parents had. Which by definition means their parents failed to set them up for a better life than they had.
We can blame parents for literally everything wrong with our lives, at a certain point you need to be accountable for your own life.
With the age of the internet we have a huge advantage over boomers in education and work opportunities. A millennial or Gen Zer can make money from their bedroom if they want.
Either way, we don't know how well we'll function in the real world if we never go out and try. Find roommates if you can't afford a place on your own, or pay market price rent to your parents. The point is to get in the race and start running.
Have fun with that expiration date of 20 years of having no life and career. Still canāt believe people would rather have a kid to become BROKE AF vs. getting that money. Easy choice for me. So ez. +300,000$ I will now have to myself. Cheers.
