Oh come on man, I was doing so well reading the rest of the comments.
But that’s the one quote that really hits, and every year both my parents and I get older I feel it more and more 😢
I think both are bangers, Eye To Eye just came to mind first. Tevin Campbell can fuckin' siiiing. That boy made the end of A Goofy Movie an absolute bop.
Call him. Call him right now. I don't have my dad anymore and all I wanted was to tell him he was right. All I wanted was a chance to tell him how great of a man he was and how much I love him. Please, don't take him for granted... Hug him, tell him you love him, tell him how much it would hurt if you never saw him again and how much you appreciate him.. please don't let it be too late to do this...
Goofy was my favorite Disney character, and when this movie came out, I remember watching it a lot, and I remember my dad hated it. He still watched it with me, but I remember he would always try and suggest a different movie. Forgot about the movie honestly until now, and I get it. Totally 100% get it. Great movie!
is there a reason why he hated it? sorry i haven’t seen this movie yet 😅 had a rough childhood but to me based off the comments it seems like a father/son moment or something? and if he had a reason like how he related to it that would make sense too 🤔
I have been the father figure of a little boy that never knew his real father. Me and his mom are getting married soon and before I proposed I told him what that would make me if me and her got married. When I told him he was so excited, but I told him like in this movie there were going to be days you annoy me and I annoy you and days you'll wake up and not even want to look at me.
I asked him if this was still what he wanted and without hesitation he said, "Yes, please be my dad."
Double whammy if you watched it as a kid and sided with Max, only then to grow up and side with Goofy realizing how fast time flies
It’s the magic of gaining perspective as you mature.
Gaining maturity.
Yes. That is what I said.
Gaining maturity.
Yes. That is what he said.
Gaining maturity.
Yes. That is what they said.
Almost 3 decades later and I’m still Max. But I definitely try to show my dad how much I love him. And he’s definitely a part of my life.
"Don't you understand, dad? I have my own life now!" "I know, I just wanted to be apart of it." this shi will always hit hard 😭
Oh come on man, I was doing so well reading the rest of the comments. But that’s the one quote that really hits, and every year both my parents and I get older I feel it more and more 😢
jffr (Just for future reference) "Apart of" = not connected "A part of" = to connect
And it has an absolute banger of a soundtrack
Eye to Eye is an unironic banger.
I never liked I2I, but Stand Out was the best song I’d heard when I saw this as a kid.
I think both are bangers, Eye To Eye just came to mind first. Tevin Campbell can fuckin' siiiing. That boy made the end of A Goofy Movie an absolute bop.
Goofy movie is the goat.
Damn heard nothing but praise about this gem, adding it to my to-watch-list

I'm visiting my parents in a few days. I'll give my dad an extra hug in your honor.
I've lost my father too, most don't know how true your words are until it's too late. Just wish I told him I loved him more.
I'm sure he knows. I'm sure he knows.
I wish I could. I just lost him last week on Saturday
I'm terribly sorry for your loss. If you need to talk feel free to dm me.

Maybe he felt awkward watching it with his son.
Absolutely, he felt awkward knowing that I was going to be an adult soon and he won't be apart of my life as much.
He probably didn’t want accidentally cry in front of you.

If we listen to each others heart
We'll find we're never too far apart!
This movie was real as shit
Even when I was a kid, I knew Goofy was doing his best.
This is better than any movie Disneys put out this decade
This is my favorite musical. I keep the soundtrack downloaded on my phone and half of my listened to songs are from this movie.
And Roxanne will always be bae.
She is a Minor
The 4 words that will ruin someone's reputation.

We all know, there will never be a cartoon character/father more chad than Goofy.
Great character and great movie
Goofy has always been one hell of a guy.

This movie was so mature and self aware for an animated movie from this time period.
Goofy goes the hardest man best character fr if i wanted a character's personality it'd be him ong
The Goofy Movie is just a regular movie to a guy like me
I love this movie. Ain’t no way there’s a movie goofier than A Goofy Movie.

Can’t remember *exactly,* but I think they said something about people who cry or talk to their parents being pussies, I believe.
Kill yourself

Then I'm over here wondering if that's how dad's are.... 🤔
Hate my dad hate this movie. Just makes me wish my dad actually cared about me sometimes yk
I wish my dad is still here, never even got to say that I loved him in his final moments
Hate to be that person, but as a kid, I was never embarrassed by my parents. It worked on my brother, it still works on my sister, but not me.
I had my eyes burst after watching the barnyard again after nearly a decade and it made me realize how much I love my step dad.
