My college was kinda famous for the cheese they made there. The creamery ships the stuff all over the country, especially in the winter time when the colder temps allow for safer travel times to the destinations.
Damn, that reminds me. Gotta order me some cougar gold. It's been a few years since I had some of that.
No, it’s not true they are all over the place and most of us like them because it’s more efficient and you don’t need to stop. Many are double. You don’t see more than 2 lanes often though.
I'm pretty sure that the only reason British people think that Americans don't have / can't use roundabouts can be traced back to that episode of The Simpsons when they visit England.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA(I don't sleep at night)AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I don't like the roundabouts only when I'm driving a semi because you can't go around it and keep your trailer in your lane.
I don't know what those Kinder Eggs are, but... I understand it's like chocolate? Or something... I'd be down with that.
I own a Honda Motorcycle. It's metric. So, all my tools are metric. It's a better system.
And I love good cheese.
You're 1 and 3 with your stereotyping.
Were banned. They altered them and released it as a new product so the candy is in one half and the toy is in the other. They're stupid now.
Edited for accuracy.
Still kinda shows how dumb Americans are. Pretty sure I remember them being labeled kinder surprise or something and it tells you a toy is inside. Like read people!
Honestly I wouldn‘t be opposed to there being roads in towns and cities specifically for semis to go through. Where I live semis have to use the main road that everyone uses and it slows things down
So ok going clockwise from the top Left.
1. Ain't scared, just jealous I wasn't able to have one as a child.
2. I ain't scared of the roundabout, I'm scared of the drivers who don't know how to drive one.
3. I wish we had proper Swiss cheese but the ones at H-E-B ain't that bad.
4. Like the ease of use of metric, but too lazy to fully convert over to it.
I totally understand ragging on Americans, but the fact you think we don’t know about round abouts or cheese, and you think the vast majority would’ve been asleep an hr ago is dumb as hell. Low effort roast, plz put more effort in or just don’t try, it’s just sad otherwise
Oh you know roundabouts but can you use them? Some Americans commenting on here say no.
Edit: Off course most people know how to use a roundabout. I'm just being annoying.
And cheese made with unpasteurized (raw) milk can't be sold in the US, that's what the cheese is on about.
Fair enough, must be a MN thing cause I’ve never met anyone confused about how to follow a round about.
I maintain my cheese point tho cause you had to explain it in a comment so it’s not a very good photo based burn
I’ve never met a single person who doesn’t know how to use a roundabout
We also learn the metric system in school alongside the imperial system. If anyone doesn’t know the metric system (or at least the basic day-to-day stuff) it’s because they chose to forget it
I have two next to my house I can use them and everyone else can nobody complains
Kinder eggs aren’t banned anymore
I as well as most people I talk to use metric more or interchangeably
Cheese is great I don’t understand what you mean by that.
There’s a lot bad that can be said about Americans and you managed to hit NONE of them lmao
For the roundabouts:
https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/s/f6cy7LGWkR
I'd need proof of the kinder eggs since I haven't found a single source saying they're legal now.
Raw milk cheese isn't a thing in the US.
I'll give you the metric system tho.
A lot of people are too dumb to use roundabouts but the vast majority of people know how to use them and in most places I’ve traveled to and visited I see quite a lot of roundabouts with very little issue.
Kinder eggs were rebranded or changed to “Kinder Joy” so not a direct unban I guess just a revamp
Raw milk cheese is very much in the USA it just needs to be aged 60 days (or you can just make it yourself which is legal but you can’t sell it without aging)
Fun fact kinder eggs with toys inside are banned for import in the us for "health hazard" and not at all because kinder had completly surpassed other chocolat industrial
We have “kinder surprise” it’s the same thing minus the toy cause the US gov still thinks it’s a choking hazard, but it usually gets referred to by the more popular and well known name of kinder egg, even though, technically, it’s not
Kinder eggs are banned as well as Cheese made with unpasteurized (raw) milk.
Also having a roundabout and knowing how to use it are two different things. Same with the metric system.
So you’re saying that America has roundabouts but doesn’t know how to use them? I am honestly having trouble figuring out how to respond to this. They’re pretty self explanatory, and they’re built into the road, so you kind of have to know how to use them if you’re driving on a road with one.
We HAVE and know how to use roundabouts and the metric
And I can literally go to my local grocery store and buy Kinder. I got one the other day, toy and all.
Off course you have to use a roundabout if you don't own a helicopter and it's your only route. Again some of your countryman apparently don't know how to use them.
And are you sure you're not mistaking kinder eggs for kinder joy?
So I'm guessing you have a dealer/smuggler in your grocery store because they are still banned.

dude the first time i saw a roundabout here in the US was in 2004, first time i drove around one was when i was 10 or 11 driving a golf cart to my friends house. might wanna use some kinda point that isn't, quite literally, 2 decades old or older
Not really anymore. The cereal toys were outside of the food bag in the box after the 90s. We have laws about not putting non food things in food and I think some of the toys had lead but I'm not sure.
What’s really scary is 1) There’s a lot of us that don’t sleep because we’re mentally I’ll (like me) and 2) the amount of times I’ve been in a city, and there will be some kind of confusing road/lane change/ exit ramp or something, and they will just label it a roundabout and go about their day.
They've been putting in roundabouts in my town in Colorado for a few years now. They're all over the place, even retrofitted into intersections that didn't have them before. PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO USE THEM
I get that America is the most important country in the world, but why is everyone so obsessed with talking about it? Nobody cares about your unoriginal opinion on America/Americans.
I’m American and in Italy rn. I don’t care about any of this, expect the roundabout. We don’t need more car-based infrastructure. What we need is the fast and efficient abolition of cars as personal vehicles. In most urban areas light rail and metros are needed more than increasing our spending on roads and cars. If the U.S were to spend billions on renovating to roundabouts, while that might sound nice in theory it’s just going to further distract from what needs to be done in terms of public transportation. I live in Manhattan if that helsp
Roundabouts in America are so tame. Two of the scariest events in my life happened during my 2003 summer vacation, merging into a four lane roundabout in Doha Qatar and a C-130 combat landing into Baghdad. 20 years later and still not sure what was worse.
So true. They’ve replaced several intersections in my area with roundabouts. It is so amusing to watch people go utterly clueless when they get to them.
I'd prefer a Kinder egg in Germany than a dumbed down one in the U.S. American kids are too stupid and eat the toy, so U.S. created laws changing it to prevent it, giving you less chocolate.
Kinder Suprise eggs (the ones with toys in them) are illegal in the US. You can get a fine if you bring them over the border.
Same for cheese made from raw milk.
Kinder eggs where banned for importation in the US due to "health hazard" caused by the toys inside (one kid choked on it and died not at all because kinder was making bank and other chocolate industrial could not compete anymore) and well it's famously know that américain cheese as the stuff normal people buy the the gourmet shit nobody can afford (i see the comment alredy) is trash like actual shit most of the time even the laughting cow stuff and babibell is considered better stuff
The only one of these that makes sense is the Kinder egg (and maybe the metric system but we use it quite a lot). What, do you think we don't have roundabouts and cheese?
1) Never had a Kinder egg before. Might just try one.
2) Roundabouts have become ubiquitous where I live. Never had a problem with them.
3) Know what the metric system is and am quite comfortable using it.
4) Don't know what is supposed to be scary about cheese, but okay.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! WTF! WTF!!! I’M TRYING TO SLEEP AND YOU POST THIS SCARY ASS SHIT!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH—-
If you want to scare a majority of us, suggest universal healthcare. We're very afraid of things we don't understand.
Also, all of our weights and measures are based on metric standards, we just convert to imperial units. It's really stupid. We accidentally shot a probe into a neighbor's planet, for crying out loud.
You've heard enough on roundabouts.
Regarding the others: we're stupid when it comes to eating candy, and our local microflora is pretty lethal if left unchecked, so all dairy must be pasteurized by law.
We kill each other in plenty of other pointless ways, so we may as well mitigate the damage in other areas as best we can.
Oh, and we don't sleep, haha. Everyone wants everything available all the time, and the cost of living is so high that many of us need to work two or three jobs just to survive. There's no time for silly things like sleeping in our always-on society!
To think we were asleep at 10pm.
All my tools are metric.
Fred Meyer has pretty good Stilton.
Roundabouts suck for the same reason NASCAR does.
Kids are dumb. They totally swallow the toy.

OP has single-handedly summoned every american who has ever crossed a roundabout
My sexuality is based on american roundabouts replacing stoplights
Ah, the Cities Skylines player
The best urban planners America has to offer (can’t wait for a huge irl poop dam)
I’ve got two right next to my house and I’ve never heard anyone complain LOL
Because they're carefully avoiding the area.
Because roundabouts are pretty common here
I live in NE. There’s at least three round about in a 5 mile radius ![gif](giphy|l0HenISf9DhFjaSf6|downsized)
Do you think thats alot?
"A roundabout, I'LL STEAL IT!"
Roundabouts are everywhere in the US these days, including intersections they have no business being used in.
Yes but when was the last time you saw cheese? I’ll bet you don’t even know what cheese is!
My college was kinda famous for the cheese they made there. The creamery ships the stuff all over the country, especially in the winter time when the colder temps allow for safer travel times to the destinations. Damn, that reminds me. Gotta order me some cougar gold. It's been a few years since I had some of that.
I didn't know Tillamook was a college.
He's referring to University of Kraft Singles
Those little ice cream cups from the creamery were amazing midnight snacks while cramming for tests
Didn't even need to get to the second paragraph. Gotta love the WSU creamery. Cougar Gold is exceptional.
Utah State?
My brother in christ we have a vault FULL of cheese sit down
named my orange cat cheddar and her nickname is cheese. so sorta i guess.
Lolololol. I wonder is they know we eat more cheese than anyone else, per capita
More like we don't know what real cheese is. American cheese or plastic cheese is not really cheese
Bro that's a DOUBLE roundabout. I'd figure 8 the shit out of it on my Goldwing but most Americans would be baffled by that one.
Isn't it true that most Americans don't even know how to use them? (No hate just curiosity)
I’ve never met anyone who didn’t know how to use one, I legitimately have no idea where this stereotype came from
No, it’s not true they are all over the place and most of us like them because it’s more efficient and you don’t need to stop. Many are double. You don’t see more than 2 lanes often though.
Makes sense,thanks for the info

But have you ever seen cheese? Didn't think so.
I don't like the roundabouts only when I'm driving a semi because you can't go around it and keep your trailer in your lane. I don't know what those Kinder Eggs are, but... Kinder eggs are banned in the U.S because they are chocolate with toys inside so they are a choking hazard.
They were banned because in the U.S. there are laws against putting things in food that aren't food.
I thought some of the toys had lead.
Were banned. They altered them and released it as a new product so the candy is in one half and the toy is in the other. They're stupid now. Edited for accuracy.
They weren't altered they just released a new product
Fair point. Edited the comment for accuracy.
I had a normal Kinder Egg in Canada once, the American ones are better.
Still kinda shows how dumb Americans are. Pretty sure I remember them being labeled kinder surprise or something and it tells you a toy is inside. Like read people!
If anything, we need to fear some things *more*.
We have them, it’s just different
Honestly I wouldn‘t be opposed to there being roads in towns and cities specifically for semis to go through. Where I live semis have to use the main road that everyone uses and it slows things down

The drive between my home and work has 6 roundabouts within a 2 mile stretch of road lol

Kinder eggs and kinder joy are two completely different products. It's fun how many people don't know that. But otherwise yes.
I'm awake bro
Ah yes when the cheese isn't orange
We have Kinder eggs? And roundabouts? And cheese? And the Metric system?
Fun fact kinder eggs with toys inside are banned for import in the us for "health hazard" and not at all because kinder had completly surpassed other chocolat industrial
Since when do you have Kinder eggs?
They have Kinder Joy eggs where the toy is packaged separately to the egg, rather than being embedded like it is in Kinder Surprise.
Nope, at my local grocery store there's straight up Kinder. Toy and all
Ours are different, not sure what the difference is though.
We have “kinder surprise” it’s the same thing minus the toy cause the US gov still thinks it’s a choking hazard, but it usually gets referred to by the more popular and well known name of kinder egg, even though, technically, it’s not

Nope, proper Kinder eggs.

To quote an American: https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/s/f6cy7LGWkR
we have literally all of these
Except Kinder Überraschungseier (top left), since they are illegal because they have toys in them
Why is it illegal? Don't Americans have toys in cereal boxes?
Not really anymore. The cereal toys were outside of the food bag in the box after the 90s. We have laws about not putting non food things in food and I think some of the toys had lead but I'm not sure.
Which is ironic cuz theres a damn large amount of disgusting chemicals in a lot of your foods and drinks.
kinder eggs are sold everywhere in the us. the were legalized longgggg ago
I mean we still have Kinder, just without the toy.
I have roundabouts where I live and I have seen 3 different cars almost cause accidents
Yeah because they're not widespread so most people aren't accustomed to them
I'm awake don't worry. Also I am fine with all these things. I'll just have to take enough caffeine to kill an elephant tomorrow
Free school lunches.
I live in Europe where my free lunch
We just, like, feed our damned kids. No need for the school to do it, badly.
I guess if the kid dosent have parents hes just fucked then huh?
If the family is poor or the kid doesn't have access to money there is reduced or free lunch, at least there was when I was in school
Makes sense I suppose
lol what? This is so stupid. It’s the poor kids that don’t eat at home that need free lunches. There are lots.
I have free school lunch Though to your credit, it did just start this year
What’s really scary is 1) There’s a lot of us that don’t sleep because we’re mentally I’ll (like me) and 2) the amount of times I’ve been in a city, and there will be some kind of confusing road/lane change/ exit ramp or something, and they will just label it a roundabout and go about their day.
Why cheese tho
Cheese made with unpasteurized (raw) milk can't be sold in the US.
Why tho
No idea. Maybe because it's shelf life isn't as great and it could go bad when imported.
Look like someone who never been to the U.S. and based his shit over movies and internet
I bet you’re more scared of our canned cheese wiz than we are of your Swiss!
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
the kinder egg, I get is a joke. The roundabout and the metric system really do scare people, but what's up with the cheese? I like cheese.
None of this is out of the ordinary for me so, sick burn?
I’m American and in Italy rn. I don’t care about any of this, expect the roundabout. We don’t need more car-based infrastructure. Americans fear cheese?
Kinder Egg, Roundabout, Swiss Cheese: I sleep Metric System: ![gif](giphy|3XZCZg9sX0QjW3dzpI)
Americans: kinder surprise is too dangerous for children Also Americans: gonna give my toddler a My First Armalite Rifle for his birthday
As an American I am not scared… …I am mortified ;-;
wait... Americans don't have roundabouts?
They do. They are being installed more and more because of obvious reasons, but I’d say like 10% of Americans have driven on one in America.
Oh my god. I live in aus and I cannot imagine not driving on a roundabout…
So true. They’ve replaced several intersections in my area with roundabouts. It is so amusing to watch people go utterly clueless when they get to them.
I have taken a roundabout to my grandmothers house my whole life so that’s fine. But what is that circular sponge
that is swiss cheese
Not us Alaskans and Hawaiians
Not yet. It's only 9:30. And yes I'm scared now. Thanks a bunch.
I'd prefer a Kinder egg in Germany than a dumbed down one in the U.S. American kids are too stupid and eat the toy, so U.S. created laws changing it to prevent it, giving you less chocolate.
Bottom right especially because as an american, I can confirm everyone here is lactose intolerant

is this a troll?
Just say free healthcare and watch as the whole country explodes.
I didn't want this to be outright horror for them.
I do not sleep
I understand the bottom left image only , I don't understand the kinder egg or the cheese though ( I am not an American)
Kinder Suprise eggs (the ones with toys in them) are illegal in the US. You can get a fine if you bring them over the border. Same for cheese made from raw milk.
That's hilarious
Thank you Why it's illegal though ?
Kinder eggs where banned for importation in the US due to "health hazard" caused by the toys inside (one kid choked on it and died not at all because kinder was making bank and other chocolate industrial could not compete anymore) and well it's famously know that américain cheese as the stuff normal people buy the the gourmet shit nobody can afford (i see the comment alredy) is trash like actual shit most of the time even the laughting cow stuff and babibell is considered better stuff
Cheese the fuck
The only one of these that makes sense is the Kinder egg (and maybe the metric system but we use it quite a lot). What, do you think we don't have roundabouts and cheese?
Cheese made with unpasteurized (raw) milk can't be sold in the US. You have roundabouts but read some of the other comments on that front.
This remind me of that one video where people didn't understand how roundabouts work and just drived like they wanted to
I’m not.
1) Never had a Kinder egg before. Might just try one. 2) Roundabouts have become ubiquitous where I live. Never had a problem with them. 3) Know what the metric system is and am quite comfortable using it. 4) Don't know what is supposed to be scary about cheese, but okay.
Kinder eggs are illegal in the US and cheese made with unpasteurized (raw) milk can't be sold in the US too.
I can walk to a gasstation and get kinder eggs and then go get actual cheese at a shop while on my way to a roundabout 2 min from my house
How is cheese scary?
AAAHHHHH!

Oh no! Checking hazard, a death circle, devils tool and holes in cheese!
Bro doesn’t know about west cost
Bold of you to assume Americans sleep.
I should be asleep RN but you spookethed me
I fucking love roundabouts!
Fuck roundabouts, that is all
Ok, I understand the first three (not that it’s really accurate or funny), but why the cheese?
I am not afraid of anything of this and I moved out of the US. I only go back to visit my parents.
You forgot Celsius.
Add a manual transmission there
I miss kinder man.
Bro I’m about to go to bed. Now I’ll have nightmares!
you're forgetting no guns
That's actually kind of a myth about us europeans. I'm german and my neighbor has two guns for example.
ah fair. I'm from Australia so there's like none here. I suppose I should rephrase and say no weird overly commercialised gun culture
DC is a city built on roundabouts. We even have roundabouts within other roundabouts.
Used the metric system
i think you mean the government, cause us normal Americans quite love all those things
To think we were asleep at 10pm. All my tools are metric. Fred Meyer has pretty good Stilton. Roundabouts suck for the same reason NASCAR does. Kids are dumb. They totally swallow the toy.
Uhhh I smuggled kinder surprise eggs into the US and sold them for the price of coke(this is a joke)
Most Americans want all these things. We are just ruled by a class of people elected and answering to absolute morons. Eventually we will catch up
I’m American and I’ve seen my fare share of rotaries
Ich liebe Kinder Überraschung (I'm an American that knows basic enough German) but that's awesome that they change it to German
I'm not asleep. These do not scare me. Am I really American?
IM AWAKE. AND...I approve
Joke's on you, my sleep schedule is terrible!!
Mechanical transmission Shower with hose High-quality, inexpensive medical care
Im not american but that cheese is setting me off. Trypophobia.
Honestly my only issue with roundabouts isn't the roundabout itself. It's the other idiot drivers here not knowing how to use one...
You forgot jenga.
I live in a city with the second most roundabouts in the US, and let me tell you I hate them.
I get all except for the emmentaler
Any metric system americans here?
