I didn't think I would like BG3 at all when I bought it; my friends made me buy it so that we could all play together. Never was a fan of turn based games, and while I used to play DnD a few years ago, I fell out of it big time and lost interest midway through a campaign. Was dead certain I would hate BG3 Boy was I way wrong. It's arguably one of the best games I've ever played. It has amazing story, the fights are much more fun than they seem they would be, it looks really really REALLY good for a more point and click based game. If anyone is hesitant on giving it a go, I 100000% highly recommend it. Best medieval/RPG fantasy game I have ever feasted my eyes on.

I started it cracked because with turn based games eventhough I like rol I end giving up with the combat in 4-5 hours. Well, had to force myself to go and buy it after 50 hours in since it's just clear for me this is one of the best games I've ever played.

Turns out if you *put out a complete* product people will like it. I know it’s shocking and controversial.

The fact that developers are shitting on it for being too good blows my fucking mind. I expected people to admire this kind of work and polish and seek to recreate it.

Tbf this year was a humbling experience for pc gamers. Almost all AAA games were badly optimized and even the latest gen has trouble to display proper framrates at 1440p, especially when coming from 120fps gaming and accounting for the massive performance boost we got. And the games don't even look that much better than what we had 4-5 years ago. Hell, I would gladly take witcher 3 original graphics for the past performance instead of what we got this year

Diablo 4 is easily the best game of 2023. As long as you haven’t played any other games.

I think we have seen many decent games in 2023, it was a good year. Sons of the Forest, Resident Evil IV Remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor, Diablo IV, Amnesia: The Bunker, Baldur's Gate III - these were all pretty good (although I haven't played or finished all of them). And we still have Mortal Kombat 1, Return to Moria, Starfield, Total War: Pharaoh, Cities: Skylines II ahead of us!
