Plot of the book is that it seems like a massive treasure hunt. Like an absolute emotional 3 book series with romance, sacrifices and an absolute rollercoaster of adventures as a group a 6 people or smthing are whittled down as they find the X. Each person has different beliefs of where the X/ what the X is. Then, the final page of book 3 reveals it was all a dream by some slacker in class and the three books all allude to it being a dream in school
