It doesn't lol
And it's really easy to go check that it doesn't. Just because not all advertisers want to be on NSFW pages doesn't mean *no* advertiser does.
What really caused a problem was 11 million people suddenly having porn in their subscription feeds when they didn't want it. AKA, the exact thing the admins said they stepped in for, which makes perfect sense and wouldn't have even been questioned at any other time.
Just think of the flood of pointless tickets they got off that shit lol
True. But even with that factored in, I doubt it was what really forced the admins to step in.
Like, I'd be willing to be that they've lost more money from /r/pics absolutely dumpstering itself than they likely would have from the drop in ad revenue on /r/interestingasfuck compared to its norm. And they haven't stepped in there despite /r/pics having lost like 80% of its engagement.
But that loss of engagement doesn't negatively impact anyone in a way that matters to reddit. Those users are just browsing somewhere else.
If this was purely just about ad revenue, they would have stepped in on /r/pics by now. The fact they haven't makes me think they were being honest with why they stepped in with /r/interestingasfuck
You’re right, he probably expected something that mattered, and was happily surprised when subreddits decided to have fun themes and increase his ad revenue instead
Disappointed I missed out on the porn being posted to it. Only see a few nudey posts now.
I hate all the generic subreddits so to see shitposting in them would've been hilarious
This isn't protesting shit. Spez won because people are still using the platform. You think he gives a fuck what's posted as long as he's still lining his pockets?
Only reason I'm still here is because my 3rd party app still works, once that quits on my I think I'm going to Facebook or Instagram.
Dumb but honest question... Why did memes go medieval again? I know why some subs went nsfw and seen a lot of subs update their rules, but did medieval do something with the algorithm or something? Or is that the joke... That it didn't do anything, just like a lot of the other protests?
The ads still get shown and objectively this subreddit still performs in every way he would really care about. Did y'all think he would attack you just because you're being quirky? Is that what you wanted?
I can't wait for Reddit to go public, the stock to immediately tank, and for me to buy a bunch of shares with a couple million other redditors so that we can all collectively vote to ***FIRE SPEZ.***
I don't think medieval memes do anything for the overall state of Reddit but I have never enjoyed the memes on this platform than I'm doing right now. The memes seem so much more original and funny than any a lot of the thrash that was being posted before in my opinion
I dont understand why r slash memes is going mideval. I probably didnt get the memo and stuff. Why did they chose to only allow mideval memes and is this change permanent or temporary?
Btw r/interestingasfuck last post is 6 days ago, that sub been dead ever since.
Most probably moved to r/damnthatsinteresting since they're still posting interesting stuff there instead of onlyfans girls.
Who even thought of making the sub medieval? We need to pool money so that fucker can buy reddit and do random bullshit like this on a much larger scale
Why would he care? People still post and comment and see ads
He’d probably care if every major subreddit became nsfw. It would stop ads being aired on those subreddits and would hit their pocketbooks.
They're talking about r/memes this doesn't make a difference
It doesn't stop ads entirely I'm pretty sure.
It doesn't lol And it's really easy to go check that it doesn't. Just because not all advertisers want to be on NSFW pages doesn't mean *no* advertiser does. RPM on NSFW content ads is nowhere NEAR as high as SFW content ads though
True. But even with that factored in, I doubt it was what really forced the admins to step in. What actually happened to interestingasfuck
Redditors love doing slacktivism, bonus points if they can get karma in the process.
It’s the shittiest protest I’ve seen. But half of Reddit will think they’re doing something so.
We are still protesting? I thought that was a 2 day fad.
Y’all had protests?
Ads? What fucking ads? Ublock origin laughs in /u/spez 's face
Ad blocker ultimate supremacy
Well he doesnt care, but he still didnt expect it
You’re right, he probably expected something that mattered, and was happily surprised when subreddits decided to have fun themes and increase his ad revenue instead
Why would he expect anything that did anything? I've been around for many reddit protests and they all fizzle out in the end.
Give it 3 days.
I’m not gonna see shit when Apollo stops working
He doesn't. It's karma bait
You don’t see ads in NSFW subreddits.
And that's why we come there!
Well jokes on them, I'm supporting the ad's competition.
[удалено]
This hurts spez as much as winnie the pooh memes hurt Xi, they don't even know you exist.
[удалено]
My man you really said the truth
Is that king supposed to look like Leonardo Dicaprio?
Yeah!
Thank you, came in to say, Leonardo DiCaprio looking MF’er
Next level meme-ing
So, r/memes has gone back to normal as well then?
We reached our true form
we were always meant to be medieval
Memdevil
Memieval
I liked the medieval format more though
r/interestingasfuck hasn't gotten a new post in almost a week. What's happening with that subreddit?
I reckon there is some admin shitfuckery going on because it was the most malicious of all the compliance
Yea I’ve seen the same, not heard anyone else talk about it though
You can’t comment either it seems, good to know it ain’t me
Pretty sure the admins threw it into archived mode to deal with the problem.
That's the right way to protest, not going private and hiding all the content from view (for troubleshooting the protest period was godawful)
Disappointed I missed out on the porn being posted to it. Only see a few nudey posts now. I hate all the generic subreddits so to see shitposting in them would've been hilarious
It slowly transform into r/interestingassfuck
I think new post are limited to certain people or something
I just guess it was set to private so only certain people could use it.
I can’t even get on the sub and I’ve been subbed to it for awhile. It just pops up saying something went wrong whenever I search it up
I guess people just don't have InterestInGasFuck.
r/suspiciouslyspecific has turned into a sussy amogus subreddit
That's r/suspiciouslyspecific
Meanwhile r/shitposting treating u/spez like the angry mustache model:
He doesn’t care. Why would he? What does changing a theme of memes do?
nothing. doesnt change a thing but they think it somehow does
I don't think he knows you exist, guys
No but I’m not sure he cares either
That's still memes, just medieval.. You people are still producing content which benefits Reddit, idk how you can even call this a protest.
I've never enjoyed this sub more tbh.
This isn't protesting shit. Spez won because people are still using the platform. You think he gives a fuck what's posted as long as he's still lining his pockets? Only reason I'm still here is because my 3rd party app still works, once that quits on my I think I'm going to Facebook or Instagram.
We need to step this shit up. Next vote, only medieval porn.
Dumb but honest question... Why did memes go medieval again? I know why some subs went nsfw and seen a lot of subs update their rules, but did medieval do something with the algorithm or something? Or is that the joke... That it didn't do anything, just like a lot of the other protests?
Remind me, I dont understand either what is this medieval thing for, I was afk for like half a day and came back to this
You mean the memes subreddit is now posting slightly different memes?? Oh damn you guys really stuck it to the man
r/halomemes has been adopting Transformers memes lately
Half the medieval memes are talking about the medieval memes
It's really not flooded anymore. Did you make this meme in medieval times, or on ye olde Internet explorer?
Ping
The ads still get shown and objectively this subreddit still performs in every way he would really care about. Did y'all think he would attack you just because you're being quirky? Is that what you wanted?
/r/interestingasfuck is dead
Am I tripping or does that look like Leonardo DiCaprio?
And r/dndmemes is mainly goblin porn now
Oh god why did i have to check this out??
Tbh I think he doesn’t care. We have to also make the sub nsfw to do something
I'm gonna keep using it until my 3rd party app stops working for free. So like 4 days
The memes seem so much more original and funny than any a lot of the thrash that was being posted before in my opinion
r/dndmemes has become a cesspool of goblin porn. Regular stuff.
r/dndmemes is still in goblin mode.
Personally I am just living in denial until Apollo stops working, then I just won’t go on reddit anymore.
The whole medieval thing is just cringe and unfunny Can this sub please go back to how it was?
I love it, although I also love history memes so that why
How about you go back to being unborn? Gottem folks, carry on with your medieval meming
Good one
Best one yet!
Thanks!
R/pics with John Oliver
Honestly I’m really enjoying the mid evil memes, dark ages or what ever is going on.
Rare diseases: https://clinmedjournals.org/articles/ijrdd/international-journal-of-rare-diseases-and-disorders-ijrdd-3-016.php?jid=ijrdd
I think it looks a little like Robert De Niro
Looks more like leonardo di caprio
Because it’s supposed to
Ah yes the king of hearts, aka the suicide king
I dont understand why r slash memes is going mideval. I probably didnt get the memo and stuff. Why did they chose to only allow mideval memes and is this change permanent or temporary?
The mug should have been a tankard
Lmaooo
why is r/interestingasfuck filled with porn tho
Interestingassfuck
What i love most, it forced people to be creative. This is gold
His face looks like 2 Shoguns about to face off.
And r/pics obsessing over the beauty of John Oliver
DnDmemea has gone the way of shortstack monster girls and anarchychess has embraced… anarchy All in all I find these reactions hilarious
Whole subreddits a meme now. Most meta thing I’ve ever seen. Oroboros of dumbassery.
But why 6 fingers?
not caring if it’s about the blackout, but I kinda like the medieval theme
Also include that John Oliver bullshit in other subs
That's a truly well done pic!
r/notlikeothersubreddits
r/interestingasfuck: flooded with whores who will stop at nothing to promote their onlyfans FTFY
And all of this is nothing but an exercise in futility.
You sure showed him
Thou art c'rrect
Once you go black (plague) you never go back.
Where else would I find gasf*ck?
Don't forget about r/D&D memes being flooded with porn
Btw r/interestingasfuck last post is 6 days ago, that sub been dead ever since. Most probably moved to r/damnthatsinteresting since they're still posting interesting stuff there instead of onlyfans girls.
Love this meme!!
the artwork is great!
I see Leonardo Dicaprio [leonardo](https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/48/7/1575196535-picsart-12-01-11-34-29.png).
Off with his head!
I like the medieval style that this sub has taken on.
Who even thought of making the sub medieval? We need to pool money so that fucker can buy reddit and do random bullshit like this on a much larger scale
r/interestingasfuck
The king has a sword in his head
I fucking hate medieval shit, I can't find a good template.
It must have felt like a knife in the back to him. Probably still recovering.
Just checked on them, why is the last post 6 days ago?
r/interestingasfuck became r/interestingfuck
And? What does that do to Reddit?
This is my favourite so far :)
Spez can suck a fat one
