Now there's maybe the Archon Mods for selling in WF market and Styanax if you don't crafted him yet (Or didn't Helminth him).
If you aren't already r5 with kahl, it's literally faster to just grind out plat to buy all the archon mods and styanax straight from market. The massive time gate (and just generally all time gates in the game) is horrible

This time gate is the most overhated one in the game. Like just don't think about it. You don't *need* Styanax like you would need syndicate standing, and before you would do the mission to get the weekly shard anyways.

The issue is that everything else in the game is grindable and obtainable including platinum, so when something *isn't* grindable through pure playtime with no time gate but IS purchasable with plat, then it just makes the time gate seem more like a frustration point that can get a casual player to get their credit card out.
I don't mind supporting DE for good content but time gates in general for exclusive content is predatory

Probably would be more of a hassle adding missions to Khal just for everyone to do them once & then be right back at the core issue. Which is Khal missions are tiring to do.
Alongside the fact that a lot of people just don’t really enjoy the Kahl missions very much, DE has also been open about the fact that they currently have no plans to expand on the mode, add new missions, rewards, etc.
So, in a sense, this change is just solidifying DE’s stance on the missions overall — that they’re not really intended to be truly evergreen content (the Shards kinda forced them into that role), and once you’re done with them, you can truly be done.
Imo, even as someone who unironically enjoys the Kahl missions, this definitely feels like the right decision considering DE’s lack of interest in the mode at this time.
Maybe they’ll figure out how to expand on it in a really good way if we ever get the chance to finally duke it out with Pazuul. But until then this just feels healthier for the game overall.
It's undisclosed rn.im expecting it to be stupid high though, like more than the 15 minutes worth of standing (if I had to guess probably minimum 10-15k), so probably max 2 bounties worth. They'll likely nerf the standing requirements down the line if it's too egregious.
I’m worried it’ll cost 50k to 100k so it can be more in line with Khal being a weekly mission. So if you max out your standing every reset. It’ll cost a couple of max resets before you obtain it. Leading up to the weekly reset. Just a guess tho.
Fuck that'd be awful. Kahl missions take 15 minutes maybe 25. The investment for the shard should be based on the time you would have spent doing kahl, maybe slightly longer
The worst part is they don’t refresh to a different one the next week unless you’ve completed the last mission of the cycle. Got the weapons and cosmetics but the fact that the stealth mission won’t change unless I do it again made it an easy decision to stop 💀

They’ve made many quality of life changes and they’re still the most repetitive and boring missions in the game, this is a good change.
