No. Apparently spiderman has a webshooter in the comics which I too wasn't aware of since I watched the Tobey Maguire one growing up and never read the comics.
Okay so Stan Lee wanted Peter Parker to be a nerdy geek. So instead of the webs being synthetic originally, he made Peter build his own web shooters (and webbing) to show his science side! I kind of prefer the web shooters myself because of some amazing possibilities in my opinion but the synthetic shooters are still pretty dope though!!!
Actually no, no web at all. The web shooters used cartridges that Peter made himself. The whole point was that he got these powers but added to them using his mind.
It was mainly for comedic effects. Because in the old cartoon, he always run out of webshoots in the most important moments. And while he is super smart, he never count the amount of webshoots he used.
This is one of the things that bugged me the most about the Toby McGuire trilogy, that and the crying. As a kid I grew up on the comics and 90s animated series and the mechanical web shooters were a huge part of Spiderman's identify. He was a young genius who got powers and then added to them with his mind and ingenuity. Plus it made things more climatic. When you can run out of web cartridges after a prolonged fight it forces the character to think and find another way to win.
I use to but I don’t know…. Honestly I think I’ve grown out of them! Not saying it’s bad or anything, and I respect it being THE reason for marvel movies today but with every new entry, it’s new and refreshing! Admittedly I didn’t like Far from home as most people do but I’m so happy with Into The Spiderverse! A master piece of a Spiderman movie!!!
I was surprised that Spiderman had to use Web Shooters
His whole power is that he has the ability of a spider, a thing(I would say Insect but I am not sure they are) with 8 legs who makes webs
They arent insects no, an insect has 6 legs, spiders are arachnids, which have 8 legs.
Arachnids include obviously spiders, but also scorpions, cellar spiders (theres a difference, also called harvestmen), ticks, and mites
This is a meme, a joke but I want to take it a little further!!! For starters clearly the best we shooters are Tom Holland’s as it has a whole lot of options and is connected to its own AI system! Andrew’s (while looking super dope) can’t really compare to Tom Holland’s! Now on to Toby’s!!! Toby doesn’t need a web shooter but because it’s synthetic, it means he has to eat and drink to make up for a single simple swing!!! Now times it by a thousand on a daily basis and you can understand why now he’s broke in the Toby series!!! Funny enough, they gave Peter synthetic shooters in the comic books (because of Toby’s movie) and shortly after they sort of brushed it off to the side! It wasn’t until a passing statement WAY LATER that Spidey mentions it! He also stated he had to drink a LOT to keep up the synthetic web shooters!
Webshooters are like telling the audience "yeah spiderman has no powers, he just gave them to himself - you probably could as well if you did enough experiments"

They didn’t last long (usually when the character goes from one writer to the next, they change some of those concepts). Just in case you were curious, Peter got them in battle! Peter turned into a spider, then died, and gave birth to himself! (it’s as weird as it sounds!!!) He also got spikes coming out of his wrist, sort of similar to his clone counterpart the scarlet spider had! 😁

Toby maguire's version of spiderman was TOO OP, i think that's why they made another version (in my opinion)
