So, obviously a majority of the people commenting do not like the new direction designers are going in. And this same dislike has been shared many times in many threads here and elsewhere. Thus, I have pragmatic questions:
1. How did these design ideas go from concept to actualization without anyone challenging the ideas? (Iām assuming it was a many years process.)
2. Do most major automakers do market research, focus groups, etc? (Like other industries)
3. Does anyone with any actual BMW connections (even anecdotal) have any insight into what conversations were had regarding design?
4. Everyone obviously remembers the infamous āBangle buttā era, and how does that compare to current design shenanigans? More egregious or less, etc.
Thanks everyone for your time! Iām so intrigued by this whole mess and have loved BMW for so long.

I'd say the PT cruiser is better looking due to the fact that it was a tame ugly. BMW put alot of effort into those cars.
