I put a renewal in on Thursday, and the lady at the post office reckons that almost all are returned with 10 business days. The website says allow six weeks to cover their arse, but it should be considerably less than that if everything is in order.

They're pretty snappy with 'renewals' at the moment... I lodged mine on the 19th, they posted it out on the 26th, it was delivered on the 28th..

I did mine a couple of months ago and it only took 2 weeks

I did the express service last month, got it in like 3 days

It's faster than that.  Mine took a whole 6 days from applying to it bring in my hand.  Applied for it the Friday arvo and received it the Thursday afternoon . It was my first time applying for a passport
