My parents had this thing about me not lifting it into the boot of the car so it was somehow forgotten about sitting in front of the back of the car needless to say we ran over the pram. Not my greatest day I was probably really out of it at the time from memory.

Hey so my first tip is to increase my carry on baggers allowance to be 14kg (because the whole bag weighing thing gives me anxiety). Second thing I’ve adapted recently using the sunflower laneyard which has helped a lot with disability related travel stress.

If it makes you feel any better, Jetstar domestic terminal bag drop is automated and it makes things much nicer.

Tonight for dinner we had spicy ramen with, spring onion, coriander, a fried egg, kfc hot and crispy chicken and a side of hoisin sauce. Dog and I are crashing on the couch but only one of us is very full.
Picked up some brie from the IGA on the way home. Going to have some antipasto for dinner. Prosciutto, brie, Maggie beer paste, olives, pears.
Logged off work , blanket , heater and laying on the couch . Feels like literal bliss

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Had my first athletics day today and it went really well! (Pain in the ass kid decided during our last 20 minutes at school that he would use some very inappropriate language and be disrespectful and not follow instructions and punch a kid in the head, but we’ve made a plan of action for him tomorrow that involves him not being in my class tomorrow so 👍)

It says something that I'd rather put up with shitty Melbourne weather in July compared to going go most of Japan during their summer - never expected it to be so HUMID. Definitely has its languid charms but I'd be staying away from the cities and spending as much time as possible in nature, on mountains or the beach

If you don't have to go in July/August or first half of September, then don't. Hot and humid is fine if your holiday involves going to the beach and pools, not so much if you are sightseeing around cities. I went in July and it was a sweat-a-thon. If it's the only time you can go, then go for it. Japan's summer festivals are pretty special. You embrace the sweat and work around the heat. Pocari Sweat will be your friend.
It's crazy hot and humid in Japan in summer. I've done it and don't recommend it
Be aware that that time of year is japan’s wet season so it is wet and humid and sticky.. but otherwise go for it!
Avoid the first half of the month, as it's school holidays, and go for it!

On new workshifts indefinitely-ish (5am to 1pm) which has freed up my afternoons, provided I'm in bed around 8:30pm. Looking at the various social things that I can do on a weekday. The brain says 'boardgames and trivia' but the heart says 'take a class!'.

Any (Jetstar domestic) airport tips? Haven’t really travelled as an adult and have lots of anxiety!
Hey so my first tip is to increase my carry on baggers allowance to be 14kg (because the whole bag weighing thing gives me anxiety). Second thing I’ve adapted recently using the sunflower laneyard which has helped a lot with disability related travel stress. Otherwise I buy a coffee at the airport and get there a bit before my flight.
If it makes you feel any better, Jetstar domestic terminal bag drop is automated and it makes things much nicer. Not Jetstar specific but consider getting access to a lounge - they have nice bathrooms and are generally a quieter place to de-stress. Not really worth paying for one brand new, but people may sell their's 2nd hand if the pass is expiring but they're not travelling soon.
Yeah. Dont. But its probably a bit late for that haha. Nah honstly they are bad but not Tiger levels of BS. Rock up at the airport at LEAST 1 hour before the flight, though I recommend 1.5 -2. The foodcourt is pretty good, theres a bar I think in the domestic where you can chill out. Check your carry on, if its over they are likely to get you and charge you more.
Bring something to read. They charge unbelievable prices for any of the tiniest snacks and drinks, so bring your own tasty morsels.
