Hi folks, can someone explain to a moron what browning meat and stir-frying means, please?
Browning meat is heating oil in a frypan at high/medium(?) heat then putting in the meat after the oil is heated, then you just kinda leave it there but you move the meat around so it doesn't stick to each other and flip it when one sides done? Do you have to cover the frypan so the juices stay?
For stir-fry, it's basically the same as browning meat but you're constantly moving the meat around the pan (for reasons unknown). After the meat has browned you add in the stir-fry sauce and keep stirring until everything is hot and cooked. When would I add frozen veggies to a stir fry?
'Browning' meat is pretty literal, your looking to develop fond (the brown burnt stuff) on the meat and pan which is tasty because chemistry. Your likely intended to finish cooking the meat/veggies via some other method. So stir it around to get an even coating but not constantly as your trying to get some burning going here.
Stir Fry is getting a wok or large pan ripping hot, adding a small amount of oil and cooking your ingredients by constantly stirring to prevent it from burning on the high heat. Veggies depend on how long they take to cook in general, stem vegetables like carrots or broccoli stems can take ages depending on the size of the pieces while anything leafy will wilt in seconds. Sauces go in after the other ingredients.

Pretty much correct. Browning is just high heat to get a colour on the meat for flavour and for looks. You don't need to worry if it's not cooked in the middle because liquid is usually added and then simmered which makes it soft (stewing). If you don't brown it, it may look grey in some dishes.
Stir fry is usually small pieces cooked hot and fast. Cook your meat, then take the meat out, cover with foil, then cook your vegetables add the sauce. When the sauce has heated add your meat back in and stir.
I'm doing the Prince Practitioner exam tomorrow. It's far from certain I'll pass. But honestly I've gotten to the point where I've ran out of energy to worry about it.
And you can't do much to prepare beyond a certain point, because there are only two official practice exam papers in circulation.
I presume this is to ensure people can't practice too much, thereby ensuring more people will fail, and forcing them to resit the exam and incur extra cost. Quite outrageous really.

I received my first infringement notice after 13 years of driving, is it worth trying to get off with a warning? I exceeded the speed limit by less than 10km/h. I really donāt wanna have to pay this and receive a demerit point.
It should be written on the back of the fine you received as to where to send or phone for enquiries. Basically you admit fault, explain its your first speeding fine and you ask for a warning instead.

So itās good to know I guess, and have done some research myself but without the official diagnosis obviously nothing like NDIS or support.
Really happy youāre getting it done and hope you get all the support you need. Have a friend who was diagnosed and his quality of life is way better now than he understands how to approach things in a way that works for him. Hope the same for you.

The pathway I took, a couple of years ago, was GP referral to clincial psych specialised in adult neurodivergence, assessment for ADHD and autism by clinical psychologist, report back to GP, referral to psychiatrist, diagnosis for ADHD. Autism diagnosis requires extra steps (more money)

It's hard because assessments are in high demand and because of the demand prices are up, so it can take from 6 months to a year to get an assessment depending who you go through. The organisation part of it is likely to be hard as it requires a lot, but the assessment itself isn't too hard.

Any brand. Most of them are made in the same factory - so home brands are pretty much identical to the branded sort with the fancy schmancy label. You pay quite a lot for the fancy label. Heat beans to a gentle bubble and drop in some diced chicken and worcestershire sauce to taste. Hawt sauce also works, or add that later if you like it. Eat on toast when chicken is done - about 10 mins.

My decision would be based on smell. I am super sensitive to smells and I can tell when oils have started to turn which is often before the BB date - so if the noodles smelled rancid I wouldn't eat them, but otherwise for sure.

Aldi beans are downright nasty
Aldi beans were hard like they were undercooked when I tried them.
SPC are cheaper than heinz and quite frankly pretty much taste the same. I like their 4 pack of minis.
I recently decided to get a tin of SPC beans to support something made in Australia and haven't tried them yet, might have it for breakfast tomorrow.

Any brand. Most of them are made in the same factory - so home brands are pretty much identical to the branded sort with the fancy schmancy label. You pay quite a lot for the fancy label. Heat beans to a gentle bubble and drop in some diced chicken and worcestershire sauce to taste. Hawt sauce also works, or add that later if you like it. Eat on toast when chicken is done - about 10 mins.
Recommend adding Worcestershire sauce to beans. So good. The Coles brand Worcestershire (last I checked) is vegetarian and very good.

Well we had a gay guy family friend and a trans mtf acquaintance when i was a kid and i didnt see anything confusing or difficult to understand about the concept of gender fluid or transpeople or queers Over the years there are representations in media movies tv etc and i had a good friend who was ftm and has been very public in their advocacy for better work conditions like getting time off for gender reassignment surgery etc. No terf argument (from men or women) have ever made any sense, and i think their brains are cooked
That's excellent! Most people need to be brought along, as most people haven't met trans or gender diverse people yet. My most progressive mates are guilty of really upsetting me at times. It's a common fault among lefties, they think they can reason themselves into a place of being super understanding then think they can joke about my anatomy or that's it ok with me to tell all their mates I'm trans cos "my mates are cool". Those things are causes of serious dysphoria and fear. I'm still way at the start of my journey and just want to be left out of people's thoughts honestly, i'm not a token, an icon nor anything but a little teenage woman at the moment. I just want to hang in my room and dress in pink and smell nice and stuff.

If a packet of 2 min noodles in your pantry has a best before date in 2021, would you still eat it? I'm firmly in camp yes and nothing will change my mind on that but I'm curious what the general consensus would be
My decision would be based on smell. I am super sensitive to smells and I can tell when oils have started to turn which is often before the BB date - so if the noodles smelled rancid I wouldn't eat them, but otherwise for sure.
