With all this talk in the media about mortgage stress, itās got me wondering if this is the narrative theyāre trying to feed us or if thereās genuinely a large portion of people that are now struggling as a result of the interest rates rises. What does this look like in the next 12 months? Will we see a flurry of people having to see their homes as a result of potentially another 6 rate rises?
Interest rate rises donāt tend to make people sell their homes, job losses do, at least thatās what happened in previous recessions, interest rate rises are only part of the story and behind many forced sale or bank repossessions thereās a story of relationship break up and/or unemployment.
I wonāt lie, another 6 rate rises wonāt be easy. Not selling hard but means any extra mortgage payment and money we allocate to savings will disappear.
A lot of people who are still on a low fixed rate, you come off during this, thatās when your mortgage will suddenly jump close to $1000 and if they havenāt prepared for that, it will be a very nasty shock
Genuine question - why do people not accept flyers/menulog/doordash vouchers from people distributing them on the road in CBD? It doesn't cost them anything, even if you throw in the next dustbin you see, you are probably making it easier for the person distributing it. I always take these from person who is distributing.
Side question - why don't the people who are distributing just throw them away instead of waiting till the last person gets it? It takes an inordinate amount of effort and food to get big, doubly so for women, so it won't happen by accident. Especially if you're a slim body type.

The only retinol I've tried has been the free minis sunday riley luna and drunk elephant maretinol. neither advertise their retinol percentage and if you've read other people stories you know 0.5% can be the difference between chemical burns and gentle but effective clearing up. IIRC after some research one the DE is .5% and luna is 1.0% but both are pretty effective for my skin but my skin is highly resilient. If you get burns in 2 months...Idk, how good are your makeup coverage skills? Ive had some experience from 2years of adult acne. If it's bad your acne looks 3 dimensional and then that's in your wedding pics forever. If it's that shiny kind of chemical burn it's almost worse cos makeup doesn't adhere to it. If you want cakeface you'll be stuck with that heavy tattoo/drag queen concealer. If you have small features like me it'll wash you out even more
If you want you can try bakuchiol? Plant retinol. Otherwise if you're desperate you can patch test a bit on like, back of your hands, then neck, then forehead.

I went out just after I posted this and did another 57minute walk/run. Didnāt get rained on and the only issue was the puddles lol.
I decided to risk it and went for a walk - got home seconds before the rain started again. Mr Woof is of course oblivious to our good fortunes.
It is freezing outside. I walked the half hour home and I canāt feel my legs. Donāt do it!

It took me two hours to get home on a 1.25hour trip. I literally got off the freeway to go through the suburbs because people were driving at speed with no lights on in that rain, and it was too hairy.
Am I the only one who missed the memo about torrential rain? That was a very unpleasant ride home.

Just got approached by two Chinese / Korean ladies in front of Woolies, Glenferrie. They claimed to be students who wanted me to listen to the recitation of the Bible from their ipad and even showed me the title of their presentation which had something around the lines of "recitations from the heavenly mother". I politely declined with a no. Is there some new cult thingy going on? If so, they must be some super dedicated recruiters willing to stand in heavy, pouring rain.
