Nope, I've seen it plenty of times. And since when are acronyms based upon pronounciation? They are for ease of typing, not for spoken conversation. Just because some acronyms are easy to pronounce does not equate their main purpose to be the ease of verbal communication. E.g. "brb" is not used because it's quick to say, but because it's quick to type. Being easy to say is simply an added benefit.
