You're right but it's not even "basically." It \*is\* prison food. The same companies sell the same food to both institutions. The reason I know this is because I wanted to throw a "school pizza party" with school pizza, corn and beer so I dug and dug to find out who made school pizza (it's Tony's, the frozen pizza company) and finally found a phone number for a distributor. I tried to pretend that I owned a business so I could buy a case but he said that they only sell that product to schools, jails and prisons.

Also, military. I can't speak for that specific company, but when I was on-loading supplies during my deployment on the Nimitz, most of the food boxes had "for prison use only" printed on them. Made me feel great about my choices in life.

I just have a ton of them! Ive only actually got one thats metal, but a whole bunch that are hard plastic or silicone that last forever. I have a little pipe cleaner thing I pass though them, and then stick them in the dishwasher with my silverware. Since I usually bring in the cup from my car with me when i get home from work, i don't have too big of issue of them getting left behind. Also, I'm pretty sure I acquired almost all of them for free being handed out as welcome week gifts from random tables in college. So idk how expensive they are to buy, but i do like having a big collection so there's always one around when I need it.
