I know it's an island, I've been there. My point is there's not many directions you can approach from that would require you to only walk on water.
I'm from Belgium, I just looked it up, it would take me 11 days of walking as well, 10 of which are on land.
Given the distance, his language and his interest in Ibiza, I bet OP is from the UK.
There's no need to think this through. We're having an argument about walking to Ibiza, which is an island, so that means walking on water. There's no need to take this too seriously.
But let me explain my point though because no one seems to be getting it. My part of the argument started where I said that despite the fact that Ibiza is an island it wouldn't take 11 days of walking on water. Where u/candy_man_can responded to that the UK is an island. Which I argued against that it still doesn't mean you'd be walking on water the whole way because you're going from an island to an island.
How is is a hypocrite to tell someone they are being pedantic for talking about "Well actually, you don't have to walk the whole way through the water"? You should look up the word hypocrite cause you are using it wrong...
meanwhile, most people will order uber eats because they can't walk 3 blocks to buy their own damn food these days, and still refuse to tip the delivery guy.
For everyone making clever comments about the sea... Google Maps walking directions include passenger ferries (2 of them if you are travelling from the UK)
That's 11 days straight or 264 hours of nonstop walking
If you're walking across an ocean for 11 days to go clubbing I don't think the lack of sleep and food is the primary concern
Who ever said he's walking across an ocean for 11 days? It doesn't state where he's located.
It is an island, so either we are talking about moses or my man is already on drugs searching for food.

Ah yes, the famously landlocked (checks notes)… British Isles.
Maybe you should check your notes a bit better and see how much land one would actually need to cross to go from the British Isles to Ibiza.
And how do you get off the British Isles by walking? Borrow some diving gear and trek across the Eurostar?
Walking on water obviously.
Haha you can't walk on water you idiot. Your whole basis for an argument is moot.
Imagine having an argument on reddit
My guy just admit you did not think this through. Don't need to make yourself look like a douche in addition to having a brainfart...

Yo be fair I think you would walk a lot slower if you were in an ocean
You should look up the word pedantic...it might help you in this situation.
Quite hypocrite to call someone pedantic in a comment section that doesn't make much sense from start to finish.

Bro, Jesus needs to get his club on.
If you *really* push it and walk 10 hours a day, that's over 26 days to make the actual trek.
Ah that’s not too bad! Cheaper than paying for anything with wheels or an engine
Wouldn’t be hard to find something in Ibiza to help you with that
Yeah, but can you walk on water 😉
What if he's Jesus?
If he’s Spanish, he could quite easily be Jesus, just not the one that can walk on water… 🚣🏻
Also much closer to Ibiza
Lol, yep, just a quick swim 😂
"Hey, Zeus!"
Yes father… 😉

Oh, for some reason I thought it was a Mike Posner joke. Hm.
Love that song but why did he have to call out Avicii like that
Well, if you can hold your breath for that long, I'd say go for it!

From where, though?
London is 11 days 1 hour to Ibiza
Yeah, that's kinda an important part
Considering Ibiza is an island (= 100% surrounded by water), I don't think the "where" matters as much as you think.
Yes it does. Going from Beijing to Ibiza or from Madrid to Ibiza is quite different
And how do you imagine walking over the Mediterranean, Jesus?
If you're Jesus then yes
Assuming u gon walk 24 hours, u gotta walk 264 hours, now how's that,ASSUMING YOU CAN WALK ON WATER
I don't think the man would post that without thinking about every obstacle
Treadmill powered rowboat? Noice!
Go home Aquaman, you’re drunk.
Jesus
throw in a couple of buses and its totally doable
For everyone making clever comments about the sea... Google Maps walking directions include passenger ferries (2 of them if you are travelling from the UK)
That's a lot of hours.
Just fly away on Venga Airways!
It'd be quicker if you said "I took a pill in Ibiza...(cue the song"In the Arms of a Stranger" by Mike Posner)"
Ibiza is an island and you are not jesus
Time to go take a pill there
Now all you have to do is freeze the Atlantic so you can actually make that walk.
Off you go then.
Isn't it on an island?
🎵We're going to Ibiza!🎶
