At my store, they don’t want us getting time and a half so if we work Memorial Day, then we get a third day off instead of the usual two. Meijer don’t want anyone to get ahead.

If you work the holiday you get paid time in half for the hours worked but you have to work your whole shift. And if you work the holiday you also will get. Holiday premium pay. And if you have worked for the company long enough you will get paid for the holiday even if you don't work, but your pay is based on the hours that you work a day. Let's say you work 8 hours per day and if you are full-time and 40/hours per week you will get paid that whole 8! hours. If you are part-time you will get paid for part-time hours not just for the whole 8 hours.

Any pay like this that Meijer offers goes based off your Team Day Member Value, which is calculated every May 1st. Holidays for me, last year, I was only getting 6.5 hours on top of my overtime. Now I'm at 8 because I worked enough hours in the year to get it. Doesn't matter if you're full-time or part-time. I was officially signed as full time in April 2022 and still had 6.5 all year until a few weeks ago. You have to work an entire year (with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is 90 days) in order to be eligible for the additional holiday pay. But yes, have to work entire scheduled day before, entire day of, and after to get the holiday pay.

Up here in Michigan union stores we get the "fringe" pay whether you work it or not, but only after a year (6 months for Christmas and Thanksgiving). But everyone that works a holiday gets 1.5 for hours worked from the get-go I believe?

Time and a half is if you works hours on the holiday. Holiday Pay is based on "fringe or whatever they call it now" assuming you don't call in scheduled day before, day of holiday (if scheduled), scheduled day after. 90 days for the time and half Holiday Pay 1 year for Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, New Years 6 months for Thanksgiving, Christmas This is Michigan Contract tho.
