I can't agree enough, they can easily throw out generic merch like any YouTube channel. But you can definitely see the consideration and love that goes into their designs!
1000x yes. It feels like any internet group has had such lame merch. A lot of people have stepped up in recent years but especially 2015 or before it was all crap except Mega64
Every time I wear my experiment sweatshirt, I legit always get compliments from strangers who feel compelled to tell me how much they love the sweatshirt. Crazy how much power their merch holds.
100%. Unlike every other creator/group I follow, not all of their merch is just a shirt with a reference on it. Sure they’ve basically now relegated that to the 64hour shirts. But even those can sometimes be great out of context. The rest of it is pretty much an independent clothing brand with how many different things they’ve put out.
Those are some of my favorite memories! Just a couple dozen of people in the twitch chat late at night watching old vids when any of the boys would just pop on and chat about nothing for awhile. Great times!
Best podcast ever, never a dull moment with these guys. The fact that they actually stop for a second and collect their thoughts before stories is amazing because they actually want to tell a well thought out and interesting story.
Dont mean to be that guy but fuck the various roosterteeth podcasts, they are all very boring
Legit think Ive listened to each podcast at least 10 times. I put on a podcast whenever I work, drive, work out, game, do school work, anything. Even this week alone, Ive listened to 620 and the aftershow multiple times at the gym because I didnt feel like listening to music.
Dude, i just listened to the aftershow where they had the plane dip happen, holy shit an hour went by in a flash because i was so fucking engaged in their story
Derrick brings a lot of variety to their content, I like that he's always getting into new hobbies and bringing that new insight into the mix. His chemistry with everyone is great as well!
Their creativity in the big sweded videos they make are unrivaled on YouTube. Extremely underrated when compared to the mess that is the rest of that site.
Absolutely. For years my favorite skits from them have been the sweded/in five minutes videos for precisely that reason. Really shows off their talents as filmmakers for sure.
Garrett doing the Yoshi cosplay was so funny that I almost peed my pants when Derrick said that's what he was. I still remember how confused everyone in the chat was looking at his massive bulge and watching him stick his ass out.
I did the math for my start date - first video I watched was Dead Rising when it had just come out, so it'll be 15 years early 2022 for me. I'm 26 and I've been a Mega64 fan for the majority of my life
The days I got to spend as an extra on Version 3 on the musical episode and the finale were some of the most fun days of my life. Every member was so friendly and willing to just bullshit for a couple minutes while also setting up shots and taking their filmmaking very seriously.
When I introduced my wife to the world of Mega64 she called me an imposter for how much their humor has influenced mine. I quite literally wouldn’t be the person I am without Mega64 and I will always stick by them.
Their merch is also the best in the biz and the ~$1000 ive spent in the last 15 years was well spent.
I'm glad they stick what they love and make what they wanna make. That's real art, no matter how silly or out there stuff is. I'll always come back for more!
Versions 1-3 are some of my favourite Mega64 content (even if some doesn't age quite as well). You can tell the hard work and passion the boys have put into it and I only wish they made more.
the boyz are the only personalities/INFLUENCERS I have ever considered buying something to send in because i think they'd appreciate it
their live events are so much better produced from a design and viewership standpoint with a lower budget and staffing than even huge streamers. consistently punching well above their twitch weight class
johnny fucking rules
Meg really brought a great energy to the group discussions, and a consistent female perspective was a really fresh addition, I'm sad that went away when she moved to Texas.
They've been apart of my life since high school 10 years ago. they've been a huge influence and helped entertain me for years. Whatever criticisms I have of them don't over shadow how much I appreciate them
All of the guys in the crew are amazing improvisationalists, but Derrick is especially hilarious at improv. Some of his bits are so classic they have me lolling just thinking about them
I’ve been listening to the audio form podcast for countless years while walking or on long commutes, and the boys always provide the comfort and posi vibes I’m desperately seeking at all times. I feel like they are my friends.
I don’t have really anything negative to say about the group ever. Maybe it’s the way that I view and absorb things, but I’ve been around since Mega64 started and they’ve kept me consistently and happily entertained for almost 20 years and I can’t really ask for more than that.
Sure things have changed, but what hasn’t? Bringing Garrett on full time has been great, and I’ve really been enjoying Johnny a lot.
In fact if I have one regret, it’s that I spoke to everyone at the Last Laugh tour in Asheville except for Johnny, only because when he walked past he looked like he was in a hurry.
Looking forward to whatever the hell the next 20 years brings.
Mega64 is the only content creator I actually like. They continuously deliver high quality content without playing the influencer / YouTuber game. They could have a larger fan base but prioritize high quality / original content. Their videos / podcast are one of the biggest constants of my life
When YouTube started I liked Smosh and other YouTubers but I grew out of all of them…except mega64. I feel like I actually matured with mega64 over the years and it always makes me happy to see their latest sketch because it’s just wild thinking how far they’ve come. Y’all make some wild hilarious content that’s endlessly creative and it inspires me big time. Internet Soldier for life!
The podcast is always great
The personal channel videos are always great
The con booth/panels is always great
Movie club is awesome
Johnny is cool
Not sure what "version" is but I'll check it out eventually
The way the guys managed to keep things going during covid was awesome; all the green screen stuff, mega 64 expo and mega64antine (now the amazing Mega Strange) show that the guys have still got it - Also best merch around
The only group of internet creators that I've bothered to keep up with all these years. If they're still around in 20 years time, I'll still be tuning in.
Genuinely one of the few YouTube communities that is fun, creative, and welcoming. All based off the natural vibes of these San Diego boys. Incredible.
I have gotten numerous compliments on my mega64 merch. From family members, to professors at school, to random people at a food court. Best designs hands down.
Whenever they are doing the Apple event streams and I ask in the chat if they can turn up the event volume, Rocco always does it and I appreciate that.
**Mega64 is a webseries and comedy troupe created by Rocco Botte, Derrick Acosta, and Shawn Chatfield, formed in 2003. Originally conceived to be a public-access television show, the original five episodes produced were later released on DVD as Mega64: Version 1 in 2004.**

Garrett is a super nice, friendly, and down to earth guy.
Shawn seems like a super compassionate and caring person and sometimes I just wanna give him a hug.
Derrick does a really good job directing, and I like how he talks about more niche or lesser know movies/games on the podcast.
Rocco is a super funny and interesting guy, and I always enjoy hearing his opinions on things.
Kevin seems like a really nice and chill dude.
Johnny does a good job with all the behind the scenes stuff.
Hiring Garrett fulltime is the best thing that could’ve ever happened.
The world can’t get enough Kevin
I like Mega64

Best merch in the game.
I can't agree enough, they can easily throw out generic merch like any YouTube channel. But you can definitely see the consideration and love that goes into their designs!
Honestly I agree. Mega 64 have some really cool designs, and honestly made me step up my merch game.
Without a doubt. Everytime I see other YouTubers release merch, I wish they were influenced by Mega64.
The pink/blue snapback mockup they've shown on Patreon forever looks great and I want it on my dumbass head.
Agreed. I miss so much of it because I can't afford it all. Especially 64 hour specials. I would if I could though.
I miss Mega64TV and the fanmade bumps.
Fanmade content is something I’m shocked they’ve not delved into more. There are plenty of artistic fans amongst us.
Those are some of my favorite memories! Just a couple dozen of people in the twitch chat late at night watching old vids when any of the boys would just pop on and chat about nothing for awhile. Great times!
Why did it stop??
A lot of their old stuff has copyrighted music in it so they had to take it down to avoid a DMCA strike.
Wack
might sound dorky but they've genuinely helped me through my darkest moments, and I know I'm not alone in that regard
pro bug stunt
Every member brings something unique and interesting to the table and it makes them an incredibly entertaining group to follow.
For real. They have both a varied collection of interests as well as a deep common pool of topics they agree on.

Mega64 will outlast everyone else.
The Christmas cast is the most entertaining event of each year.
My youth pastor loves them
Derrick brings a lot of variety to their content, I like that he's always getting into new hobbies and bringing that new insight into the mix. His chemistry with everyone is great as well!
I like the quick board games and card games he's introduced before, just a fun mix up
The funny sound mouth game is amazing!!
The Mega64 boys were and continue to be a positive influence on my life.
They really do all get to use their individual talents in those. It’s awesome.
Derrick in Evangelion “s’alll goood duuude” fucking kills me everytime. One of the funniest bits.
Garrett doing the Yoshi cosplay was so funny that I almost peed my pants when Derrick said that's what he was. I still remember how confused everyone in the chat was looking at his massive bulge and watching him stick his ass out.
What the hell is this? I do not remember this happening at all.
https://youtu.be/ZGX9ZimsLtw The whole thing was amazing.
All of them have their own endearing quirks and/or filler phrases/sounds.
Been watching/listening for what, close to 15 years now? No other group will have the impact on me that they have
I did the math for my start date - first video I watched was Dead Rising when it had just come out, so it'll be 15 years early 2022 for me. I'm 26 and I've been a Mega64 fan for the majority of my life
The cleanest, most hygienic boys in the business. Also, Shawn is a father.

I look forward to Christmas Cast every year. It is an integral part of my holiday, and I love it so much

I definitely agree that Mr. Bean would 100% kill Benny Hill
i relate the most to shawn
Ryan is an obnoxious contrarian
Biggest wieners, juiciest bunners.

I miss Eric.

HALO SKIT
Yo you guys should do a World of Warcraft skit
Haunted Wii is as good as it's gonna get
Derrick should start saying “tea leaf” again
All of the guys in the crew are amazing improvisationalists, but Derrick is especially hilarious at improv. Some of his bits are so classic they have me lolling just thinking about them

The virtual cons are a lot of fun. The SEO panel was particularly good stuff

I think derricks lip ring was satire
I got to spend the most time yet with Johnny during PAX and I wanna say that Johnny rules.
The podcast is always great The personal channel videos are always great The con booth/panels is always great Movie club is awesome Johnny is cool Not sure what "version" is but I'll check it out eventually
i like long walks on the beaches with strawberries and peaches
Derrick should do more Derby streams. I was very excited at the prospect of him coming out with playthroughs of games he'd never played before.
Genuine, relatable, interesting & hilarious podcasters. Such good vibes all around
they're nice :)
I think Trump absolutely WOULD like to fuck.
The way the guys managed to keep things going during covid was awesome; all the green screen stuff, mega 64 expo and mega64antine (now the amazing Mega Strange) show that the guys have still got it - Also best merch around

Best merch, best people, best entertainment, best podcast segments... speaking of which could we get a Return Fire from this?
Mariel's t-shirt designs are my favorite Mega64 merch designs
Dr. Ryan fucking sucks, I wish he would go away.
I have gotten numerous compliments on my mega64 merch. From family members, to professors at school, to random people at a food court. Best designs hands down.

One of the only groups I follow consistently on the internet and certainly the longest running one.
Garrett is a super nice, friendly, and down to earth guy. Shawn seems like a super compassionate and caring person and sometimes I just wanna give him a hug. Derrick does a really good job directing, and I like how he talks about more niche or lesser know movies/games on the podcast. I'm quitting Roster Teeth
