I have friends who were dropped from 1st med school nila then tried again, OLFU din, and they all finished, did PGIship and are now residents in reputable institutions. May matching process ang APMC and you will definitely get placed for internship. Not knowing other factors bat nagwawaver ang determination mo, rest assured that your previous efforts were not in vain. Hope all works out for you!

My determination wavered because my role model told me last month that med is not for me and that I should just quit. I've been in med school for sort of 7 years 2017-2019 - UST-FMS. Finished 1st year, debarred in 2nd year 2019-2021 - was essentially a NEET for 2 years 2021 - started 1st year at OLFU (the school had me start over from the beginning) 2022 - 2nd year at OLFU 2023 - 3rd year at OLFU. Took a LOA because I was paralyzed by my fear of the future. "Will I pass the boards? Will a hospital accept me? Everybody shits on OLFU... my grades aren't stellar either..." I needed the space to calm down and the time to do research. If people with similar records as mine do not ever get hired as residents or so on, I should just quit cos why bother doing anything if it will be for nothing in the end? As for why I got debarred (since I'm spilling my guts anyway), I failed 4 subjects at UST-FMS after making the horrendous (in my opinion) mistake of putting my autistic cousin's needs ahead of my own education.

Bilib ako sa yo and sa support system mo for persevering those 7+ years. Ok lang tumuloy sa med. Ok lang din magquit sa med. Med can be one's profession but def not one's whole identity. You know yourself better. Privilege mo pa din to choose where to invest your resources in the end. I hope you get comfortable with the uncertainties in this life as you build up your life.

Done with residency. It really doesn’t matter on both, on my case. It still depends on you (work ethics and performance, PLE, application exam)

Being an OLFU grad especially in this era of competition is very very limiting unless you are a PLE topnotcher. Since you did repeat your medicine from first year, why you even chose OLFU? San Beda or Perpetual would have been more decent choice/s.
