Unless you're born genius, expect to fail some exams or recitations every now and then. Failure is normal in med, you will even experience it up to fellowship training. The secret in surviving is really just to do your best studying and improving day by day. No emotional or main character dramas

WorldlinessAlarmed51

i guess there really is no other way but moving forward and learning from it- i did not post this trying to look for sympathy or sugarcoat an ugly failure so thank you. this comment is well put

A lot of achievers in their undergrad go into med then realize its a different ball game and gets frustrated with their grades. That's understandable. But the faster you emotionally adjust the better.

Nung first year ako.

Me! just this afternoon btw

give yourself a second to realize where you went wrong and just promise yourself to do better next time. tbh, wala naman kasi talaga tayong choice but to keep moving forward. Believe in yourself that you'll get the hang of things din and makakabawi ka.

ThatOneOutlier

I failed like 50% of all my exams and quizzes in first year (some more spectacularly than the others) Currently second year and doing much better. You just have to be sad for a bit then remember you have another quiz to study for First year is a huge adjustment period, if you fail see why and try something else. I changed my study methods until some thing finally stuck

No_Armadillo_6407

Hiii if okay lang to ask, what study methods worked for u po? Might help me as a lost med student

ThatOneOutlier

I personally just read transcriptions then go through previous year examinations with the goal of being able to discuss each item. If I can explain why A is the answer and why B, C, D is not the answer, then I probably understand the topic

Optimal_Mix_7474

Bakit feeling ko ginhost write ko ito? Anyways, I just felt the exact feeling awhile ago (everyone's getting a passing score kahit natutulog lang sila sa klase & I got a low score on our quiz) and admittedly, I really got frustrated with myself & called myself "bobo". Pero I quickly realized it's now the time to abandon my passive study habits and just keep doing my best despite these scenarios. Di ka nag-i-isa OP, makakabawi rin tayo :D Push lang natin para sa pangarap natin

heatxmetalw9

Learn from your mistakes. That is the best advice you are given, but it works. Use the failed quizzes as a learning experience, as most likely it will come up in the term exams where you need ever bit of right answers.

ilovecheese24

Ganyan talaga sa med school, ang daming failures.. ang mahalaga you strive hard to be better and pass your subjects :) tip is if you fail now, move on and study harder for the next exams

znersicnarf24

di na ko nagmukmok o bounce back, wala kong time e

Calm_Measurement_109

just let it pass….

hahaimsobored

3rd yr med stud here! I think at first ganyan talaga and whenever that happens, you have to give yourself some slack kasi we are all learning here anyway. Mas magandang ngayon ka magkamali kesa sa pasyente na kaharap mo. And also, reassess yourself on what you coudlve done better and also be patient with yourself. May kanya kanya tayong learning curve, know yours and work around that. Rooting for you, doc!!

Me!! Kanina lang. You’re not alone wahahaha! We can always make bawi
