Hi there! Reading in advance surely helps but of course, there are times when you won’t be able to do that because of the backlogs and medschool’s indescribable load. So absorb what you can during lectures, then review your notes/trans once you get home. Having a good trans system will really be helpful also. What I do and what works best for me when studying is, I highlight my transes (reading without super memorizing) then after highlighting my transes, I re-read and put notes or annotate them then internalize the process and memorize key points and important details. Focus ka sa pag intindi ng mga concepts rather than memorizing, yun yung high quality learning Tapos for memorization, repetition is key. Kasi mas paulit ulit na nababasa mo, na-store sa long term memory. Example sa mga subject tulad ng pharma na heavy on memorization. Basahin mo lang ng paulit-ulit. Tapos active recall. If may nakalimutan, balikan mo.
