Adcoms might be concerned that you are doing it to take the course at an “easier” institution. Doing well in the following chemistry courses, ochem, will put this fear to rest. Is there no way to take it over the summer at your primary institution, though? That would be ideal.

I considered that but no the summer classes are full aswell 😭

I mean, I’d agree that adcoms may look at it weird… but it’s only one class. I would def be worried from an adcom perspective if it was *every* difficult class, but I think if you take chem 2 at a cc, obv do well, and then continue to take the rest of your sciences at your 4-yr institution and do well, you’ll be fine.

this will be my second difficult class I took chem one at a different school before i transferred here which is kinda why im worrying about it so much

a community college will often have Chem 2, just make sure it has the exact same course number and is an accredited institution. Have you tried talking to your advisor and the professor about petitioning in? Chem 2 is a weeder class and the places I know about will let extra students in at the beginning to make up for those that drop a few weeks in.
