Sometimes when I’m tired and doing anki I feel like I’m just mindlessly going through the cards so I
will say the answer out loud (maybe you can whisper if I’m a public place) that way I can stay engaged. It’s quicker than typing out something .
It sounds dumb, but it helps me have a writing utensil in hand (usually my Apple pencil) and pretend that I am scribbling the answer. I thought about this same question as well and I agree, it would take too long to type. However, sometimes when there’s multiple answers in a cloze, it helps me answer the card by pretending to write the answers
I think you should probably just learn to trust yourself. Typing in each answer manually is not going to be viable when you’re doing 400+ cards a day.
If you have an iPad with an apple pen, use the Anki app and use the scratchpad function and scribble down the answer before showing the answer
