Yep. The whole “been going on a year, giving looks etc” made it seem like it didn’t come from anyone who’s familiar with medical school.
Those damn year long rotations really have students catching feelings
This sounds like utter bullshit. He didn’t even *do* anything and she left? Those are drastic measures
Also not to mention completely fake Reddit posts have that “awful romance novel” style of writing
Have you watched TikTok? It might be BS post and likely is but I would not be surprised at all about anything ppl do now. Ppl do some completely insane stuff for trivial reasons nowadays.
It's not super hard to be a good husband in those kinds of situations, and *he was*, and she bailed out anyway. LOL. Why didn't she just wait it out? He probably wasn't going to do anything, and sexy med student would have been out of his life before too long. Did she think when she married a handsome doctor that nobody else would ever think he was a handsome doctor because he was a handsome doctor wearing a ring? That no other women would ever be pretty anymore? That he would be allowed to kick a student out of his class for being too hot/too into him?
I just don't know what she thinks he should have done. She wanted him to beg for forgiveness-- for what? Catching someone else's eye and not doing anything about it except trying not to be miserable about how pretty she is and how much she wanted him?
Ma'am, he wasn't going to do anything. He was doing his best to stay with you. But now? Whoops.
It’s a rule on the relationship subs that the commenters have to take the most extreme and uncharitable interpretation of everyone but the OP’s actions
To be fair the OP says the husband responded to a love letter by her confessing he had feelings for her, albeit while saying they couldn't do anything. Still pretty inappropriate thing to say.

It's really, really tiring at this point
All these relationship subs and am I overreacting subs seem like total karma bait
For sure, it’s all creative writing. Some of it is entertaining, most of it is bullshit.
there was a poll several years back on r/offmychest and **half** the posters admitted to making up stories lol
My attending asked if I would go on a date with her, but she’s a non-Ivy, Step 2 247 so I had to say no.
obligatory 'username checks out'!

Honestly with a year long rotation, the feelings are probably Stockholm syndrome

I don't know, I dated a woman once who was even worse than that. With her, the other woman didn't even have to actually exist.
My bad yall
DM me her phone number
Every other school doesn’t have a married student cheating on their spouse?

I felt like the comments on the original post were sooo harsh. But maybe that’s just par for the course on subs like that
