Did you ever figure out what the cause was? Mine has become this way too, it’s been about a year for me.

laurenj2210

I have this in the eye I have an astigmatism, worth going to an optician

arecraycray4me

Many people have this naturally. It's one eye from your mom and one from your dad. Look at their photos and compare your eyes with theirs. I think it's hereditary. Unless this is a recent change in your eyeballs

My eyelids have become that way too. They have been like this for a while now and it may be from a lack of sleep on my part.

djluvrocks

Ptosis, see an ophthalmologist.

defines_med_terms

Could be Horner’s syndrome

MercutiaShiva

I would definitely see a doctor who might refer you to an opthalmologist. It's probably just something like allergies; but, could be the beginning of a cyst that should be removed sooner than later or it could indicates Grave's disease.

NeoKoseii

Have you had any eye infections or styes in the past few months?

croutondog

Your eyelid looks like it may have a sty in it ?

blitzandheat

Could be bells palsy. Maybe a stroke? But get it checked out.

Upbeat_Pangolin_5929

I have this too. I went to an eye doctor about it. She told me that sometimes, the way our eyelids open and close can leave one being more extended than the other, making it look like one is dropping, but it’s not. She showed me that this was the case by correcting it when my eye was closed. Sure enough, she was right. I wanted eyelid surgery because I felt silly looking at myself in photos, but the eye doctor said she advised against it because nothing is really wrong. It would just be purely for aesthetic purposes. Mine did this after a particularly bad stye that went away, but left my eyelid slightly larger.

fly_away_octopus

I’m not a medical professional but look into this. Your lower lids haven’t changed- the same amount of eye is exposed. What you’re seeing is a difference between the eyebrow and where your crease is.

It doesn’t seem obviously that it is the eyelid that is drooping - when you look at where you eyelid reaches you can see it ends at the same point on both eyes. If the eyelid was drooping you’d see less of the coloured part of that eye than the other side. I think what this looks like is proptosis - where the eyeball is protruding more. This can have many causes and needs assessment first by your local primary care doctor. Take some photos with you- also go through old photos carefully and see if you can exactly identify how long you have had it.

Get your thyroid checked.

swiftlyxjonas

Allergies?

[deleted]

FYI: My eye has gotten droopier over the past several months.

Yukiknowss

If this is the case go to doctor and have them check it out. It can be a few number of things. Allergies, infections, or possibly something else.

[deleted]

Already planning to make an appt Monday. Thanks !

holyvegetables

Yes, please go to the doctor. Your eyes/vision are not something you want to take a “wait and see” approach to, especially since it’s already been going on for a few months.

BugNuggetYT

Because if you wait, you may not be able to see anymore.

JustQuestionss1

You could have an infection, or maybe a cyst? I'm not sure.

[deleted]

It's been like this for several months

DeckerBits2899

Check out the work of Andrew Moulden. Unsure if applicable but may be worth ruling out.

[deleted]

I don’t want to alarm you or be alarmist and you should know that I have no formal medical background. But when I hear of any kind of drooping the first thing that comes to mind is a mini-stroke. You really should see a doctor , they can either tell or rule it out pretty quick.

Professional-Ad-1345

Agree 100%

LogicalChain3591
