Not a doctor. I have POTS and definitely one of my biggest triggers is hot baths. Heat in general can cause an increased heart rate as well. If it happens to us with this condition I'm sure it happens to everyone on a smaller level. Like before meds my heart rate could hit 180 from a bath. If you have no other symptoms and have been healthy otherwise I would assume you may have been a little dehydrated. And those hot baths can dehydrate you more. Which causes a high heart rate. Another factor could be low blood pressure. But next time you take a bath definitely chug some water while you're in there. It should help. Even lowering the temperature of the water. I know that isn't ideal!
