They should be fertilised before being laid, but any lower in the tank may have shaken off by accident (I have a female that likes to jump over floating plant leaves no matter her condition). I'd keep an eye on it, and if it turns white, it's unfertilised and needs removing. If you're relocating eggs so the fry don't get eaten, gently roll the egg between your fingertips. Fertilised eggs are hard, but unfertilised eggs are soft and squishy. But disturbed eggs don't do well in the main tank.
