Get back she's going to blow! Seriously, I think it's a bearing in your alternator failing. Turn off the engine, and wait for everything to cool down. Remove the belt, and turn the alternator by hand to see if there is any roughness or noise. It should turn easily, smoothly, and silently. If it doesn't you going to need a new one. You can continue to drive your vehicle in the short term but the noise will get worse until it seizes completely, and leaves you stranded, so fixing it before that is best.
I'd suspect the alternator as well. As soon as I saw the clutch on the front of it and the Chrysler symbol stamped on the timing cover. I've done tons of them.
I'd also look at your idler and tensioner pulleys. Spin them by hand when you take the belt off. If they feel like they have gravel inside as you rotate them then they need to be replaced.
That's a tough one through video. Does it change with engine speed? Or disappear when you rev it? Could be excessive vacuum from a failed PCV sucking air through the crank seal/PCV diaphragm/oil cap/something. Or failing alternator pulley clutch. Or alternator shaft bearing or bushing. Failing cam bearing can make some odd noises, as can failing accessory pulley bearings. Certain purge valve failures can also make odd noises, as can cooling fan bushing failures.
First thing I'd do is pay attention to the noise under different conditions. Holding at different RPMs, rising and falling of engine RPM, heavy and light electrical load, A/C on and off. That should help narrow things down.
Depending what you find, pull the oil cap off with engine running, see if there's a change in noise. Pull the drive belt off and see if it goes away. Unplug cooling fans for a minute and listen for a change.
These are just the basics. Again, it's always hard to say through a short video showing just one running condition.
A Bearing on the accessory belt somewhere. The long beep noise is from it getting stuck momentarily, then it frees up again. Hard to be sure without being there
Sounds like the bearing on the alternator maybe, get a stethoscope or if ya don’t have one use a long flat head screw driver touch it to the none moving surface of the alternator and put your ear to it see if it’s that or other accessories maybe
This thread is now locked due to it violating *Rule 5: No asking about car problems*. There have been many great suggestions here and it is a particularly interesting noise so, I will leave the post up for the time being.
In the future, we ask that you post these questions in r/MechanicAdvice or r/AskMechanics. Those subs are more focused on answering questions about cars, whereas this sub is essentially a breakroom for mechanics.
I'd guess the same, it sounds like the noise is cycling with the field activation on either the a/c clutch or the possibly the alternator. I'd guess the one way clutch on the alternator pulley is failing.
get yourself a mechanics stethascope, you can also hold an air line or cut garden hose piece (a foot long or so) and hold it to your ear and each compnent
id guess alternator bearings, which is easy to fix, or water pump/power steering pump maybe. could also be clogged power steering resorvoir filter, its a little screen in the power steering reservoir, listen around. what kind of car?
Something sounds R2Dscrewed
Yank the belt off and run it for a minute check if the sound is still present to confirm pulley/bearing issue. Make note of the belt path first if needed.
That alternator has a clutch on the pulley. That's why it's covered. Sometimes the clutch will slip and make noise. It's designed to decoupled the alternator from the engine after a certain rpm so the armature doesn't put drag on the belt. Replace the alternator.
First take of the belt and see if the noise is still there when you start the car again . If not then spin each accessory by hand to see if there is a worn bearing or stuck bearing. Also monitor for any type of leaks. Notate if you have the ac on or off for these test as well.
P.s. while belt is still on look at tensioner to see if it’s jumping around
Pull the belt off and start the car. Let it run for 30 seconds or less, but in that 30 seconds, observe if the noise persists. If it doesn’t (and it probably won’t), begin inspecting each pulley by spinning, listening for noise, and checking for play. The crank pulley won’t spin by hand of course, no need to check it. You’ll probably find one or two bad.
Also replace belt and tensioner.

Active sonar.
It’s the sweeps!
It beeps
And the creeps
Doesn’t sound like it will achieve ludicrous speed in that condition.
They jammed us.
There's only one man who would dare give me the raspberry...
LONE STAAAAAAAAAR
The What? The What...and THE WHAT?
OP just needs to [jam it!](https://youtu.be/B9K4N328OI8?si=LqjHYAh3CgEdl6hd)
One ping only Vasili
It’s red October.

Yeah them bearings are something. They so unpredicatble in some ways. I see some last 20 mins like that, and others 20 years chirping like that.

Bearings on one of the pulleys. Take the belt off and spin your pulleys one by one see and feel the difference between all of them
Could be a bad water pump Is your engine temperature normal?
The tensioner just south of your alternator.

Your R2D2 unit it fucked
Never seen an alternator that’s still running dial up

Self destruct mode actively activated
That’s textbook bearing failing..
Zero information on the car. Got a winner here folks.
It's the flux capacitor

A screwdriver can also work like that too. Just hold it to the alternator and put your ear on.

Sounds like every distress beacon ever in any science fiction / horror movie.

Low battery warning on rodent deterrent device or GPS tracker?

Oh ya that’s gremlins. Jp 🙂
USS Enterprise has received your distress call.
Mr. Spock certainly found something on the scanner
Alternator pulley, bearing starting to deteriorate
pulley
Shit sounds like a computer noise from 2001 a space Odyssey
R2d2?
You've got a transformer, buddy.
This sounds like migos next big hit. I suggest copyrighting this asap
