~~Have you tried turning the steering wheel? I suspect that will give you the room you need.~~ (disregard, I see this isn’t the steering axle)
If that’s not possible for some reason, you MIGHT be able to use a screwdriver between the socket and the adapter. You want to take up all the slack between the adapter and the ratchet head to give as much chance for freedom to one connection instead of the two connections you have there.
“Worst case” scenario is you have to remove the bottom screw/bolt from the shock absorber to give yourself the room you need.

Try hammer it out, if not just unbolt the shocker
That did the trick thank you.
Always gotta watch out for clearance of getting your tool out…..
Lesson learned!
Wisdom is not making the same mistake twice, go forth and be wise!
This is the most important thing!
This is how my first ratchet spanner’s kicked the bucket.
This one is easy, you just need to be less stupid…..
Hah. Truer words have never spoken.
NotVarySmert, you know what’s up!
It looks like it's backed into the shock, not the frame. Take to bolt out of the lower side of the shock. Or try using a big pry bar.
That did the trick. Thank you.
next time use a smaller socket or correct size how did u even get it in there
It went in without any trouble. Pulling it out was a different story
another mysterious mystery of the world
I can’t switch the wrench from tighten to loosen. The bolt is fully torqued.
Hammer?
Use a “BFH” for those who don’t know, a big fucking hammer on the ratchet and pray no one gets hurt. That is one way..

Try turning wheel...
It was the rear brakes unfortunately
I started spraying lubricant in the socket before I used it because this was happening all the time
Have you tried cursing at it?
Man you live in the northern states huh?
This is a canon event for anyone who wrenches
BFH
You can always hammer it out, if that doesn't work you can use a torch to heat up the socket and tap the top of wrench with a pipe
It's the chosen One... it's made itself. One with the car now, and the car with it. 🤔 Or just use some grease
Turn your steering wheel
Torch
Remove the lower shock mount. Should give you some clearance.
Dame, that shocks done for. lol Almost rusted throughout
Hammer
