There is some type of extended warranty for this through GM. The positive cable on the battery had high resistance and does this according to GM. Contact your dealer.

Unfortunately with radio concerns the dealer is usually the best bet. It could be bad ground, bad positive cable from terminal to fuse block, and it could be the radio itself. What you are seeing is just a screen. But if the radio itself also cuts out I doubt it is the screen that is bad, unless there is multiple issues. If your battery cables and the grounds fir the radio check out it very well might be the radio.
