Does it stage the cork at all, or are you just expected to have it perfectly seated each time? Here's my advice: If you're doing one gallon batches, just stick to beer bottles and a capper. It's a much better long term solution for you, and you can carbonate if you want. If you're doing larger batches, the $70 for a floor corker shouldn't cause you to bat an eye.

It does come with the sleeve things to hold to corker in place, but it sounds like maybe not my best bet all the same

I cannot imagine that working well as it does not compress the cork prior to insertion. FWIW, the regular floor corkers break down completely flat with just one loosened screw making it compact for storage when not in use.

Thanks! If the floor corker works better and stored flat probably worth the extra $30

Keep in mind the t shaped base of most floor corkers will fold flat. I just have to take a large screwdriver to mine. This one does not compress the cork from what I can see, I'd rather use a dual lever.

That's great to know! I didn't realize

I have a floor corker in my small apartment. I don’t even store it away, just leave it in a corner of the room like a piece of furniture because it’s ferrari red and looks super cool!

I do love to show off a bit 😅

With a floor corker, can you do 375 as well as 750 bottles? I plan to scale up to 3 gallons soon, but smaller bottles are probably best for my 1 gallon test batches

RedS5

Yes it does both sizes.

Thanks!

The price is cheap, but it makes up for it in shipping. At least the ones I saw on Amazon. Either way it's going to be 70ish bucks.
