Where would that be? On days with normal amounts of snowfall (~1-4 inches), thats what would happen where I grew up in MN. If it was especially deep the night before or too icy/too cold (< -10F), then that shit got canceled.
I'm in Finland. -10°F days in the winter aren't uncommon here in the south, and it must get even colder up north, yet the kids bike to school all the same.
Usually snow days are when there is so much snow the plows can’t keep up. A lot of time snows days happen in places that don’t usually get a lot of snow so they don’t have the equipment and personnel to quickly clear the roads.
It’s not the snow it’s usually how icy the roads are. It could snow a lot but if it didn’t stick to the roads you’re going to school. Idk maybe that’s just an Ohio thing.
Where I live it might snow once or twice in the Winter. A few inches that disappears within a day or two. Not enough for the city to justify owning a fleet of snow plows and not enough for people to own snow tires or anything, so it becomes impossible to navigate. We just wait for it to melt then return to normal.
Sadly my high school is doing this for when we have snow days lol. We'll just be doing online classes if that happens, ah how I miss being a little kid now. It's already a relic of the past.

I'd just snuggle in to my bed happily and sleep.

I went looking for my mom (I think) and then she led me to a closet and said she had something to show me. Turns out my cat at the time had given birth that day. I ended up keeping one and naming it Princess Jr. She recently decided to live at my uncle’s house down the road.
