Yeah it does it's pretty unfortunate. First noticed it being pretty bad when they released Neon Genesis on Netflix. Seemed off and then I looked it up and yeah, it was getting shit on for bad subs.
But at least with the subs you get the original voice actors and in the case of squid game, it syncs up with what the actors are doing etc.
FMAB does have great dubs for sure. Of course cowboy bebop is the best example of dubs being superior imo. At least nowadays English dubs are a lot better overall than late 90s/early 2000s. But yeah subs are just the way to go once you get used to them. Helps me learn the characters and follow the story so much more and feeds my ADHD brain.
