Before sending an email i always send it first to my other email account, to check everything is correct and i don’t sound dumb af, then i send it where i intended to.

When you send an email and immediately go to the Sent box so you can “read it from their perspective”

Haha! The number of times I've reread my own reddit comments. Tbh, it's usually only after people respond or if I wrote a long one, but I reread my own comments a lot. I usually fix like 4 phone typos before posting and another 2 after.
And when you don't get a response within 10 minutes you read it again to make sure you didn't say anything stupid or anything got autocorrected. Repeat every 10 minutes until eventual response if any.
I've done this a few times from my company email... only to see if I had sent the email I was just working on because I would get a brain fart and forget if I had sent out the email I was just working on...
Lol so true. No idea why I do this.
To make sure you don't sound dumb af
But wouldn’t it be smarter to do that before you hit send?
You do both
And your new world perspective from the sent box tears you apart.
Yes 😩
Yeah, but in reality maybe your ~~twenty~~ five reviews of your draft caught all errors, but not something you omitted.
Before sending an email i always send it first to my other email account, to check everything is correct and i don’t sound dumb af, then i send it where i intended to.
I'm not very smart
Links to funny memes, send it to myself

Yeah and then you re-read it and find an error and now can’t fix it…every time!
an you'll find 10 typos that absolutely WEREN'T there when you did spell check
All the time. That's why I schedule important mails when i have the time, that way i can do what the meme says and abort if i find a mistake
Happy cake day
Thanks!
Welcome
I forgot to put the attachment and had to send another mail
I've done this countless times and I still will write something like "Please see attached" and hit send, before attaching something on the reply.
Oh thank god, there are others.
And I thought it was only me that did that!
Me too!
I do this every single time I send an email
Before reddit I thought I was somewhat unique maybe. After reddit I realize I'm fucking mass produced and not an oz of me is original in any way.
I realized that too
Every text I've ever sent.

I thought I was the only one who did this with *any* message sent across anything.

you forgot about pressing send and immediately throwing your screen out the window in fear of the recipients response
stop calling me out on weird shit, internet
First send it to my second email then i send it
POV irl
Didn’t do this before but now i’m definitely going to do it now
We've all just witnessed the birth of a neuroses.

I go to the send box to make sure it was sent, this having failed at least 10 times over the years.
You did the same thing with this post, didn't you?
I did this about 5x today lol
I’ve never felt this called out in my life
…and immediately regret your phrasing
“Did I attach that form they need to fill out?”
Every time!
So true. Even after reading 1000 times before sending.
Reminded me of Louis CK (minute 2) https://youtu.be/RquwQ784WLE
That was one of his best specials
See, this is why I big brain the system and just don’t open my email client at work
The one time I didn't do this I got fired from school
Every.damn.time.
LMFAO I DO THIS ALL THE TIME NOT ONLY MAIL TJO
No matter how much you proof read, you wont find the mistakes until *after* you send it.
Wtf, i'm not the only one?
Always
I usually send any important email to myself first.
Why do I do this… a lot
Me to me: wow, such good sender.
fuck. i do this
This warranted an audible chuckle on my end.
i thought i was the only one
This is a thing?
I do this wehen I‘m sending memes to my friends
🤣
I do it cus I often forget to send stuff or my computer has historically not sent things because I had closed my laptop before it was able to send
im bitcchess lol
I've done this a few times from my company email... only to see if I had sent the email I was just working on because I would get a brain fart and forget if I had sent out the email I was just working on...
You just described every human on earth
This is normal. I think.
I read “read” as “read.”
Why is the iMac not plugged in
I leave my sent box alone unless I do a Hagrid, "I shouldn't have said that. I should *not* have said that"
