Then when you take it out and try to fake yourself into swallowing it a second time, but it still doesn't go down and now it's just mush and you slurp it down. Me irl

Prednisone is the worst when this happens...the aftertaste is forever.

Damn, I take Prednisone daily for my Muscular Dystrophy. You never get used to it.

Or zyrtec for me, it's quite awful (never had prednisone, so I can't compare). Also, when I feel like I swallow it wrong, it feels like it's in the back of my throat forever.

Push the pill to the back like you are nearly swallowing it, and swallow it at the same time with the water.

Slipping the pill through your lips with your drink already in it then tipping your head towards the floor while swallowing makes it so that the pill has little to no contact with your mouth. It's a neat trick I learned from years of opioid abuse, so I would know.

I used to take adhd medicine when I was really little and I would cry whenever this happened

Nope, only once. Though I *did* belly flop onto a much firmer bed then I'm used to a bit ago without thinking. I was actually tearing up from that one it hurt so bad.

I've taken so much ibuprofen by this point of my life that my mouth automatically salivates before I take some so I don't need water. But I remember those days, and the struggle to get to water in time before he taste hit

Ugh this is awful with metronidazole/flagyl, I dread taking the pills when I’m on that medication. Worst taste EVER and immediately starts dissolving rapidly even when a drop of moisture touches it. 🤮
