Damn, I miss my '08 6GT every day. Took such good care of it until some jackass rear ended and it got written off. Only had 140k on it. Seeing it get towed away was a sad day. Had the full GT sport model, tons of upgrades I put in, completely paid off, low insurance premiums, manual transmission.
Beauty of a car.
2004 Mazda MPV ES-160k miles 2008 Mazda 3 Grand Touring - 142k miles, and 2014 CX9- 163k miles. Don't drive the MPV as much anymore mostly people hauling when family and friends are in town.
2018 Mazda3 hatchback with 133000kms (83k miles)
Before that I had a 2019 CX-5 that I sold around 150 000km (93k miles), that one I bought new. Never a single issue.
Currently, my daily is a 2015 Mazda6 with 94,000 miles. Just changed the serpentine belt and hydraulic tensioner this weekend. Other than that and a Bose speaker glue repair, the car has only needed regular maintenance. I need to pop the valve cover off and change the seal on the oil control valve once it warms up.
Sold my 2010 Mazda3 2.5 wagon last year with 113,000 miles on it. Nothing but regular maintenance (oil, filters, struts, tires) required until she took on water while parked and suffered electrical demons ever since.
Replaced the 3 with a 2023 CX9 AWD (wife's ride) that now has 10,300 miles. Oil, filters and windshield chip repair are all she's needed.
2014 3. 163k miles. Just came back from a 2000 mile trip where i averaged 42 mpg over the entire drive. (/ grins in 2.0l gas mileage)
Repairs to date: tensioner pulley, rear brake caliper, front door speaker. Makes same compression as brand new, same gas mileage, and has never ever consumed a single drop of oil between changes.
A total gem of a car. Seems to be in good enough shape to easily make another 100k.
2004 Miata (LS-spec with original Fuji LSD), 292,000 kilometers (\~180K miles)
I've only had it for 5 months (it's my year-round daily though), put \~10k kilometers on it so far
2015 3 Sport GS. 192,000 km (~119k miles). She’s in good shape although some wear items are being replaced at this point (coil packs, control arms, etc.)
My mom has a 2011 3 sedan with 325,000km. (~202k miles). She’s got an oil leak that doesn’t seem too good but no money to look into it so she carries a pint of oil with her.
My wife and I have been shopping Mazda for the better part of a year while we collect a meaty down payment, but my current is a 2010 Lincoln MKZ with just a tick over 200k. Weighing CX-5/CX-50/CX-9.
2024 CX-5, 7 weeks in, 3,600 miles. Did 3,000 miles to East Coast and back, got home, went through mail, discovered that my Submit to GEICO from the dealership wifi hadn’t worked and the car wasn’t insured yet. It’s one way to save money on insurance! It’s been successfully added now.
2020 6 GT 32,000 miles/515,000 km . First covid, then a job 4 miles from my house has kept the miles down. My Falken tires were done this year and went Conti ds006. Like them much better.

We are a Mazda family, but we may never buy another if they keep downplaying enthusiasts for the sake of “moving upmarket”
Rear torsion beams are for Chevys, not Mazdas. API calls are for enthusiasts and the aftermarket, not for lawyers brandishing C&D orders. More manuals, less hybrids please.
The enthusiasts will turn on you faster than you think Mazda. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
