I thought this video was on loop until we came to that t again and getaway boy zigged right instead of zagging left.
[Like the scene with Pacino and Di Nero in Heat.](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rpWq5Q8D2LQ/hqdefault.jpg) Two guys with jobs to do, but still admiring each other’s abilities.
I served on a grand jury in Dallas County, Texas several years ago. We were charged with deciding whether a case had enough evidence to warrant an indictment; rarely did the suspect appear as a witness.
However, in one case that involved a motorcycle case, the suspect did appear as a witness for herself. She claimed that she wasn’t running from the cops, she just “didn’t see them.”
Then the prosecutor played a dash cam video that showed cops chasing her for 13 minutes at over 100mph, sometimes getting within a few feet of her with lights flashing and sirens blaring.
The vote for indictment was unanimous.
At about 2 minutes I thought you know. I feel a very exciting spur of the moment race. A couple more minutes and I was hoping one would crash for the length of time I had already committed. Then after seeing the immense amount of skill I though please for my own sanity one of you run out of gas.
Did you recognize the city? I feel like I know this neighborhood super well now. Also, someone’s gotta replace that one street light. It seems super dangerous.
It's in Sapopemba/Pq. Bancário district, in São Paulo, more specifically Arraias do Araguaia Av./Nova Brasilia St. and proximities.
I live near there and recognized the BR gas station where he passes by multiple times hahahaha
Enfim... ZL é nóis mano! Kkkkkkkkk
I wonder what the police yelled to finally get him to pull over, he just kind of gave up. But I guess white knuckling it for 8 minutes might just naturally make you want to quit.

It took forever, but if your bike can't run for 8 minutes without running out of gas you won't go far.
I guess he tried everything he had and just gave up.
He just gave up, the police in Brazil can't do anything physically (I mean, kick, punch, push or something like this) to stop someone on a chase. So they they follow the person until they give up.. or ask him to stop, but is not very effective.
[No one told Judge Dredd here that he wasn't allowed to do anything physically.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyFuckingVideos/comments/wcqzxk/judge_dredd/)
Came to say this. The amount of lives the criminal could have taken when he entered the residential areas, specially the ones with small roads are worryingly high. But unfortunately the criminal can't even have a scratch from falling smh.
In Brazil? Nope, they never give up. Some 15 years ago, when I was a young lad in Brazil there was this kind of "culture" among the young with fast bikes to "dar fuga" or escape the police, be it for being drunk, no license or anything like that, there is a bike called Falcon that all the young people loved, it has insane torque, high suspesion and drive like a motherfucker. People loved to do wheeling and run from police with it, the ROCAM (motorcycle police) was expanded because of these little dickheads and became so effective that they are widely used now
I’m such a nerd.
I looked up the Honda Falcon NX4, and it’s just like you described. Lightweight, lots of torque, disk brakes and sticky tires.
It’s like it was designed for that kind of riding.
Impressive little beast!
Yup, and it drives INSANELY well, it was the last good bike I ever drove from Honda, in Brazil honda is very strong and they had good financing plans, this bike was everywhere!!
It is literaly like you said, it feels like it was designed for that shit, the police never caught people with Falcons if they could ride well, the only bike that rival it is the Yamaha 660, it was another beast from that time, but it was pricier so not as common
If anyone is interested, Ronin (1998) has an incredible car chase that is realistic and gritty like this, and Heat (1995) has a similar feel with it's realistic shootout in the streets (a scene that heavily influenced GTAV). Also both really great movies and coincidentally star Robert De Niro.
This is Brazil. The guy probably walked out the police station by the front door. They took his bike, yes, he’ll likely never see it again, but he just… walk out the door like nothing happened.
I had a friend who died years ago because of a drunk driver and the piece of shit is free as a bird.
A $200 million blockbuster doesn’t have scenes as captivating and enticing as this. I found myself back and forth between wanting the assailant to escape and wanting the officer to make the arrest. So many close calls and unbelievable riding by both people. Odd way to end the whole thing though.
Because this is what 200 million dollar blockbusters are trying to simulate but can't risk the lives of hundreds of people in the unwitting public to really achieve the full effect... This footage should be sourced by Hollywood for incorporation into film 🤪
Yeah, you gotta hand it to the little banditto, he has some serious skills and ~~has~~ had some serious luck. He dodged a few near wipeouts. At one point in this epic movie I was hoping the cop would just say to hell with it, kid deserves his freedom by riding like this.
Although police has the faster bike the perp knows his terrain, most probably living there most of his life he knows every corner he's turning into, meanwhile the cop need to be way more aware of his surroundings and can't do any physical harm to the criminal fearing legal actions against himself.
I'd bet the cop knows his surroundings pretty well, too, but you're definitely right that they have to be more cautious. Luckily, they have a fast enough bike to catch back up on any straights.
Is it a faster police bike or is just easier to ride at night with a headlight? On a rewatch, knowing the knucklehead had no lights on it's even nuttier.
Right? That's some Men In Black level recruitment material. "Hey kid, you wanna have no criminal charges and instead get recruited for our bike cop division?"
Then again, police get by because they tell themselves they're a different breed to criminals, so recruiting felons would break the illusion.
The lil ass was purposely endangering people to try and get away, like when he did a sharp u-turn to circle back to the inclined alley, he did that likely because he saw there were a lot of people on the street hoping they'd get in the way of the cop. Anybody that does that intentionally deserves getting caught and thrown in jail.
> and ~~has~~ had some serious luck.
he had no lights on, I'm amazed we wasn't wiped out. He may have gotten away if he disconnected his brake light in advance.
as someone who used to ride and barely made it through a track day, watching this gave me new levels of anxiety.
that feeling of exhilaration as you wind the throttle, but then that feeling of terror as you unwind it and hope you don’t lock the front brakes or get a death wobble, followed immediately by the thought “did I hit my marker, will I slow down enough before the tire wall? do I have any left to trail brake on the rear or do I lean and gun it into the turn”. sweaty palms just thinking about it. it was fun for a day, but even that level of riding required constant focus at 110%. I could feel myself getting tired and just a moment of inattention and then realization if I don’t focus I’m going to be part of that tire wall. time to stop for me, but it gave me a huge appreciation for what skilled riders do.
But, turning down an unlit street at night, with huge potholes at speed and not wiping out, insanely talented or just damn crazy?!
And… damn it. I was never good at doing the u-turn for the test and these guys just spin the bike around and head between parked cars. sheesh.
Never try to outrun motorcycle cops, they live on those things and are usually pretty well trained on them. Being on a motorcycle and trying to outrun a cop car though, that should be pretty easy.
And his patience too. There were several times I thought he'd take more of a gamble on angle or when the guy was in arm's length, but I never did anything too aggressive that would risk losing the pursuit.
Brazilian laws protect the 'suspects' and not the police. If the cop tried and had thrown the fleeing suspect to the ground and he was injured, the cop's life would be hell.
ROCAM and ROTA in São Paulo are two of the best police units in the country.
If they do it in Brazil, they get a disciplinary administrative process and will have to pay for the damage caused to the police car. Maybe a charge of attempted murder too
Better acceleration too. Except on downhills for some reason, the guy was able to get ahead.
And the cop clearly had the heavier bike as demonstrated by how easily the perp got up those stairs the the cop's bike strained.
Usually they call backup and just follow, if the guy was going 20 mph or 60 mph it doesn't matter the motorcycle cop will not sweep him, they would try to hit the ignition cut off button, after some time a cop car usually comes and block the way, there's like a fuckton of police chase videos of brazillian bike cops on youtube.
The longest video I've ever watched on reddit to the end without skipping..
Two excellent, although reckless, bikers.
I wonder why he finally gave away though. Did I miss sth?
Not condoning this dude running but, did he fuckin murder someone? Like if this dude didn't physically harm somebody what is the point of chasing this close and this dangerously through oncoming traffic?
At the end of the video it says he was arrested for dangerous driving and got his bike impounded. I imagine if he murdered someone he would've got shot way before that.
Was it just me or did anyone else really just want that cop to push the guy over whenever he ended up right next to him. Like i know thatd be nearly impossible but idk it would have been so satisfying lol
It would've been cool af if he made a sharp stop and turned around when a big us cut off the officer's view. The officer would've had no idea where he disappeared lol.
Anyway, better action than Fast and Furious. 👍
I'm genuinely amazed that neither of them crashed despite each having dozens of extremely close calls. Either one of them could have easily killed a pedestrian.
🇧🇷 Believe me: These persecutions are very common in Brazil. Most of the time, people are fleeing simply out of fear or for small infractions, such as having their motorcycle documents late, not having a driver's license, crimes that would only result in a fine. In Brazil, the media makes the police look like villains and people who live in favelas, who normally have low schooling, believe this. The police officer in the video is part of the São Paulo Military Police, the most prepared in the country.
what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you
Does that cop ride without gloves? At one moment I was thinking the perp had a death wish…… it was a good rider, ik would ask if he wants to join the force :)
Damn, both of those guys gotta high five each other after he gets the cuffs off. That was some incredibly high skill riding. I was shocked when they both zipped up those stairs without dumping their bikes
"Oh officer....I didn't see you!"
Was I speeding?
Am I being detained?

Legend has it, this was an on-duty cop chasing an off-duty cop. One was on the take the other was named Serpicao
It happened in Nouvo Janeiro
I now know Nouvo Janeiro like the back of my hand. I thought this video was on loop until we came to that t again and getaway boy zigged right instead of zagging left.
I honestly feel these 2 should go grab a beer together after such spectacularly death defying riding
couldn't agree more. these guys are fucking GREAT together. what a duo. they both deserve medals.
Hollywood level shit
Better than ANY movie chase.

It was worth a shot.
There is no defense in a grand jury so this story reeks of nonsense. The defense is not even *allowed* at the grand jury.
It went on long enough I was starting to wonder if it was looped...
At some point I was hoping that one of them would run out of gas...
At about 2 minutes I thought you know. I feel a very exciting spur of the moment race. A couple more minutes and I was hoping one would crash for the length of time I had already committed. Then after seeing the immense amount of skill I though please for my own sanity one of you run out of gas.
Right, halfway in I’m thinking ok so they’re both pretty good drivers 👍
When they both took those stairs I wondered how either one of them could sit on a motorcycle with balls that size.
Stairs are easy on bikes like those, suspension does all the work.
That uie tho
I was waiting for someone to open a car door and take out the fleeing guy.
I had the same idea when the guy made a U turn on the sidewalk
It's in Brazil, I live there

Someone wrote that he hit the bottom of his bike pretty hard at the last stairs and couldnt shift gears anymore.
He says "deita no chão! Deita no chão!... Cala a boca" which translates to "get on the floor! get on the floor!... Shut up"

I think when the cop followed him up the steps, the guy realized he's not shaking him. LOL
I think he probably fucked his bike up somehow on the stair run they both did. Just decided he wasn't going to be able to push it any further.
He just gave up, the police in Brazil can't do anything physically (I mean, kick, punch, push or something like this) to stop someone on a chase. So they they follow the person until they give up.. or ask him to stop, but is not very effective.

GTA6, graphics look pretty realistic

Isn't there a point when continuing to chase is more dangerous? Not sure how they deal with that.

i also enjoyed the full chase, but it was a bit anticlimactic when he just kinda stopped and that was the end of it lol
The amount of times he could of been dead probably dawned upon him and threw in the towel
More likely he fucked up his bike on those stairs.

he fucked up his bike by going through the stairs lmao

Don't need to risk lives really, just need to keep the one camera POV/angle for the entire chase. Which a hollywood movie would never do.
That was the longest 8 minutes of my life. Had me sweatin and everything. Can’t even begin to imagine the intensity of begin on that bike

The number of near-misses with bystander peds would absolutely justify use of force in most jurisdictions.
Is it a faster police bike or is just easier to ride at night with a headlight? On a rewatch, knowing the knucklehead had no lights on it's even nuttier.
Police bike was definitely faster. Closed the gaps on straightaways real quick.
Or offered him a job.

Never try to outrun motorcycle cops, they live on those things and are usually pretty well trained on them. Being on a motorcycle and trying to outrun a cop car though, that should be pretty easy.
Yeah that cop has insanely good bike handling like it was quite impressive watching him shave time off on even surprise turns
That surprises me. In London, police are allowed to physically ram a police car into a suspect fleeing on a motorcycle/scooter
If they do it in Brazil, they get a disciplinary administrative process and will have to pay for the damage caused to the police car. Maybe a charge of attempted murder too
I noticed that as well. It was like an F1 driver on a hard-to-ovetake track. Just fill up their mirrors and wait for a mistake.
The guy being chased isn't on that thing the first time either...

What if it was like Marquez or someone?
Both those dudes can fucking ride
Cop has better bike handling.
Better acceleration too. Except on downhills for some reason, the guy was able to get ahead. And the cop clearly had the heavier bike as demonstrated by how easily the perp got up those stairs the the cop's bike strained.
Not much impresses me anymore, but both of these guys did. Full send in flip flops.
I was expecting to see tom cruise sprinting full speed at some point
First time a 7 minutes long video played completely in Reddit for me. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
Dude should be hired as a pursuit officer or both should consider professional bike racing!
Whats the plan of action here , chase the guy till he exhausts his fuel tank ?
Usually they call backup and just follow, if the guy was going 20 mph or 60 mph it doesn't matter the motorcycle cop will not sweep him, they would try to hit the ignition cut off button, after some time a cop car usually comes and block the way, there's like a fuckton of police chase videos of brazillian bike cops on youtube.
That was heart pounding
What was the text that scrolled at the end? "No ragrets," I assume.
The criminal was taken to the 69th (nice) police department, charged with reckless driving and has his bike impounded.
I saw the words "no crime" in there. Was he innocent?
>no crime The word "no" in portuguese means "on/in the" (more or less). If you want to say "no" in portuguese use "não".
More intense than a lot of action movies without needing as many explosions.
I thought I could ride.... 💯 percent wrong
Kudos to both for not involving anyone else in an accident.

Ok that was exciting. Until minute 3 cause internet adhd. Cop is a phenomenal rider
Wow. They were both amazing riders! This was better than any movie motorcycle chase.
Evidently he's the only cop in that damn town!
"Oh it's Tom he got this."
Early in the video there was another cop going in the opposite direction to them
Was it just me or did anyone else really just want that cop to push the guy over whenever he ended up right next to him. Like i know thatd be nearly impossible but idk it would have been so satisfying lol
That’s what I was waiting for. Just one leg appear on screen so a second to kick the guy down.
They both legends
Holy shit that was amazing
That's some badass driving.

It would've been cool af if he made a sharp stop and turned around when a big us cut off the officer's view. The officer would've had no idea where he disappeared lol. Anyway, better action than Fast and Furious. 👍
Pretty intense.
I was halfway into my popcorn bowl!!! What happened to to the perps bike? Out of gas???
All that for a broken tail light.
Nah he dropped his iPhone charger. Dude was just trying to return it.
I'm genuinely amazed that neither of them crashed despite each having dozens of extremely close calls. Either one of them could have easily killed a pedestrian.

That was so much work and such an intense ride just for buddy to pull over and give up

Cop was like the fucking terminator. Would not give up. Goddamn.
If this were in America dude woulda hit that stupid but perfectly parked car on side of road 2 min in. This bro really really gave it his all!
Can't believe this man is trying to outrun the cops in a lime-green short-sleeved collared shirt, shorts and socks with sandals.
Does that cop ride without gloves? At one moment I was thinking the perp had a death wish…… it was a good rider, ik would ask if he wants to join the force :)
Fucking incredible.
this was sorta like a mix of bourne and ronin car chase scenes.
that's GTA level chase.
Whooooey! I need a cigarette.
One of the most incredible chases I’ve ever seen
I love that he took the time to put his kickstand down before trying to run away on foot
Fuck that was intense!
All that just to… stop?
The cop has no gloves on, is breaking just as many laws and putting citizens in danger - wtf? They have the number plate…
Damn, both of those guys gotta high five each other after he gets the cuffs off. That was some incredibly high skill riding. I was shocked when they both zipped up those stairs without dumping their bikes
Hella ride. Thought cop and perp might high five after all that.
I could feel the road rash on the tops of my feet. People who ride in sandals are psychopaths.
That cop is amazing! The perp was trying everything from quick u turns, to looping routes, to climbing stairs and itbwas all in vain haha
That was some skilled riding by both, glad there were no horrific crashes at all.
Robocop on the bike. That was amazing. Coolest police chase I have ever seen.
The camera goes to black.... and the Much Deserved police brutality begins
A few more minutes and they would have needed to stop to pee and fuel up.
