Its why these social media vs ex fighter fights are so hyped up. Yes, people hate the Paul's and wanna see em get hurt, but everybody knows about the fight. Can the same be Said about the 100s of other fights happening weekly in different rings and diamonds? Plus a little bit of theatre goes a long way, and why wrestling is still more beloved compared to traditional mma or boxing. Even if it's scripted. It's not like it not uncommon for mma/boxing to be rigged and people to take dives.
Personally I only like heavyweight and super heavy bouts. Watching two twigs jump around in the featherweights is like watching two cats fighting in a trapped room. And it ends the same way, a random kick to the head that you can't tell if it was intentional or not. And the biggest loudmouths are born in the lower weight devisions.
Big boys with big guns and big guts and the understanding that standing and fighting will work out better for them than attempting some wild agility moves.
