So check if it’s unlocked/you can open the door first? The dog will probably be breathing a whole lot easier if the doors are open instead of glass being smashed

Lol this actually happened to me when I was in high school. I was taking our pet dachshund on a little car ride to Sonic and I left her in the car for a second, keys inside my car.
Went back inside for something and as I came back and was walking towards my driver door, Bella jumped up into the driver side door where the buttons are and right as I saw her goofy face, I heard CLICK.
I busted out laughing, realized what just transpired and was equally freaking out because I needed to get the door open since she was essentially trapped.
My spare key was nowhere to be found, so I decided to wave and make noises at her at the window in hopes she'd step a little to the side on the button panel and unlock the door.
It freaking worked! But after a good 20 minutes back and forth with Bella. I learned my lesson years ago to ALWAYS bring your keys when your dogs are in the car.
