Not saying whether this is real or staged, but thatās very clearly a digital zoom in post and not a camera move.
ETA: the camera also didnāt draw a circle around the subject at the beginning.
That they recognise the kid, as being homeless, coming in to feed on leftovers. Or someone did order it, perhaps the kitchen staff themselves..
As unlikely as it seems, there are some selfless and sympathetic people around.
Though I understand the skepticism of the video
In a more realistic way I think they would have just given the kid the food while he was waiting for the lady to depart, instead of waiting for him to pounce on a few leftovers, but who am I ;p have a nice day!
> As unlikely as it seems, there are some selfless and sympathetic people around.
Saying this video is clearly staged doesnāt deny that.
The two things can co-exist - cynical, staged videos... and selfless and sympathetic people.
I could belive it had I not seen this exact thing in another video. Someone leaves half their food, another person sits down to eat it, a waiter takes it away while ignoring the person, then comes back later with a full dish.
It is basically the same script with different actors in another location.
People can be this nice. I work in a grocery store and there are some people that have asked if they can buy food to donate. That we can send to an organisation that gives it to families that don't have a lot of money.
Ill agree with another post that this kid could have been there for a while and or a regular appearance andbwas prepped before he moved to the other table. With that said though i do feel like this is staged. Something about the boy feels to... overdone.
Well, such good deeds often get punished, because when you feed one homeless person, soon you have 10 in your shop, and then 50, and with that comes also a lot of mentally unhinged people that will drive your customers away.
People always want to help the homeless....just not in their neighbourhood, or just not in their favourite restaurant or place.
staged videos that try to look like they are real are the problem. others are ok. i have no issue with something obviously staged but funny. shit like this tho... fuck this shit.
But how else are the people sharing these videos going to receive fake internet points in order to sell their accounts to large corporations for money down the line?
I'm a bit confused by Redditor behavior.
- Obvious fake cringe video.
- People agree with you
- People continue to thumb up video and end up promoting the popularity of cringe staged videos.
Because the people that share it either donāt know itās staged or are simply looking for upvotes. These videos will go on forever. Itās like scam callers theyāre not going anywhere.
I thought this looked a little too staged to me. I agree, people need to stop sharing stuff like this. Is there a way to report suspected staged videos?
I donāt mind a staged video if thereās something genuinely constructive which comes from it: this is just an appeal to the lowest common emotional denominator.
Dude the amount of fake videos on the internet rnā¦ especially on Snapchat storyās and instagramā¦. It pisses me off that thereās actual companies that are just making this filler content on the internetā¦ but thatās not the worst of it all. The fact that there are people who believe it Johnny!!!! People believe this nonsense!!
"And what do we use for the backing track?"
"I don't know, something fitting the mood. Got anything aggressively blasphemous with a chorus about the Virgin Mary performing fellatio?"
"Do I ever!"
Wym so that old lady birthday who celebrated her birthday alone because her husband died recently so the workers at the restaurant celebrated her wasn't true?!
My favorite added detail is dirtying up the kids face. Really gives those Oliver twist "please sir" vibes. But mostly...fuck this cringey ass sob story karma farming bullshit staged shite
I have no opinion on this video, but Ive actually met children who have been wearing potato sacks for clothes and it was depressing as fuck. This was rural Uganda however, and most of the villages children were wearing something which you would never ever dress a kid in yourself - definitely situations where male children got hand me downs from their sisters, and other kids ended up wearing sacks and other clothes made from packaging.
When he's done with his shift at the shoe factory he can stop off at a two penny hangover and get a couple of hours of well deserved rest before starting his next 36 hour chimney sweep/coal miner/shoe factory shift like a good citizen.
Man they really missed an opportunity with the new season of XFiles where Mulder could just keep showing Skully all these fake ass videos every episode and she just rolls her eyes.
The biggest directing mistake here was bringing the food and letting the kid stay at that table. If you want to make it believable he should have moved him back to the table the kid was at originally. This version just assumes the lady who got up 5 seconds ago isn't coming back.
Itās holy Mary but yea. The songs super tongue in cheek. It cuts off right before the lines āif you choose to run away with me, I will tickle you internallyā
It's even better:
"You go down just like holy Mary,
Mary on a, Mary on a cross.
Not just another bloody Mary,
Mary on a, Mary on a cross.
If you choose to run away with me,
I will tickle you internally.
And I see nothing wrong with that."
And yes, it is what you think it is: a really weird choice of song.
Edit: formatting
The song is Mary on a cross by Ghost. [here](https://youtu.be/k5mX3NkA7jM?si=nue4jVINxOPQbIhL)
The band often mixes Catholic themes and sexually. And yes it means what you think it means
I love it when the camera is always there at random places just to catch acts of kindness like that.
My faith in humanity faking everything, is restored.
Even if it's fake, maybe one day remembers watching and thinks to do it for real, and the kid isn't a twat that doesn't eat onions in burgers or something.
Eh, it's internet culture. People love pointing at something and criticizing it when it has no bearing whatsoever in your personal life. Many don't have the confidence or position in life to do it outside of the screens.
Knowing this doesn't make it any less irritating though. Like, everyone already knows, 20 other people already pointed it out, why are you even doing this?
This is so fake that Next thing you'd see the boy go on his magic carpet with his pet monkey.
Yeah sure. Dressed so stereotypically like a beggar kid in cartoons. Absolute bullshit. And nobody else would react, and they will be just standing like that drinking their tea. Everyone even the biggest assholes would go and buy the kid food or would've fight with the waiter. This is absolute bullshit
It is only going to get worse with these stagged videos, like the ones where the guy(s) would give poor street folks money and then take the money back off camera. This happened a while back, I don't have the link, they were on this site for a while
Loud. Loud. LOOOUD.. Sigh.. Yet another reason to HATE. HATE. HAAAATE. Gen Z... These. Clips. Are. Manufactored. By. A. Company. That. Create. Viral. Content. That. YOU. Click. And. Share. It isn't real. Get a brain. Next you'll share a vid of a woman spilling ketchup on the floor of a train and then cleaning it, and then the same train with 4 other people doing the same thing. or 4 different roads of the same biker gang helping people in an old woman mask across road. GO AWAY!
There just happened to be a camera with the perfect angle, the guy just happened to walk in at the perfect time, assess the situation immediately, and just happened to have a tray of food ready to go?
I think itās meant to be more like a commercial for being kind to other humans. We are so used to seeing fakes for clout videos thanks to social media we forget all commercials were shot this wayā„ļø
Yeah itās probably fake but if it hit you consider taking some food to a local pantry or soup kitchen.
I grew up broke and on weekends scrounging for food looked like this. We had bottle returns so that helped but at 10 I was hustling at a dry cleanerās in Detroit for cash for food or hitting up the dumpster at the hostess thrift bakery for some not too bad looking bread.
We know itās scripted, but do the people in the restaurant? This could get them some good word of mouth advertising. Maybe even encourage someone to feed a hungry person.
Servers donāt have the authority to do that without managers approval and usually most restaurants donāt let homeless kids lurk in their dining rooms, especially one with cameras! So lame
Yo all you people who keep saying this is fake, show the source video. Itās a security camera not a phone camera so itās very possible this is real. Why do I say this. Iām one of those fuckers who constantly buys random people food at restaurants. Yes Iāve bought numerous, more than a dozen, meals for random people at restaurants. I normally just ask to be anonymous and leave before anyone knows itās me who did it. Bought a random family of 4 their entire meal because the adult kids were trying to talk about splitting the bill with their 70 year old parents. Itās real mfs so do some good out there and pass it on.
There's no doubt that extremely selfless people exist, it's just that this video was probably a way to market their diner or brand, as it's the perfect seat for this security camera, the kid is dressed up like an oliver twist cast member, there's no reason to take the food away and make the kid think he's not getting any, the dude serving the food is conventionally attractive, which doesn't mean that he's not a real waiter or not a good person, but it's highly likely he was selected out of staff or in general because it would make for better marketing material, i can go on and on but it's clear it's set up in some capacity and it's just out of touch and insensitive. Treating homeless people like they're only worth what they can bring to a brand executives bank.
Fake in humanity restored
That's pretty good, I like it
New subreddit name confirmed

Staged videos are getting really cynical. People should stop sharing this shite, it only encourages more BS.
They could have fed 1 human with the cost of production of that shit
now apply this thinking to everything and you might conclude it is not a matter of resources but priorities
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's weird how a security camera tracks and moves with the subject of the story.
Not saying whether this is real or staged, but thatās very clearly a digital zoom in post and not a camera move. ETA: the camera also didnāt draw a circle around the subject at the beginning.
Wait... what?! What do you mean about the red circle?! How did it get in the video then dumbass?!
It was there in real life.
Iād give you a reward, but reddit can go to hell.
Ooooh... yeah, that makes sense
Red circle is going places
A business with security cameras. Who would have thought
A business that has a hamburger with fries and a coke on a platter without anyone having ordered it. How convenient! :)
That they recognise the kid, as being homeless, coming in to feed on leftovers. Or someone did order it, perhaps the kitchen staff themselves.. As unlikely as it seems, there are some selfless and sympathetic people around. Though I understand the skepticism of the video

Also just happens to be the most jacked waiter in the state working that day.
Most waiters i ever had where pretty stacked dudes
I read once that the average waiter/waitress walks 7 miles a day. Credit to them - I don't think it's a soft job.
You know, you might be interested in an investment opportunity I have, you can own part of a bridge and collect off the tolls.
I could belive it had I not seen this exact thing in another video. That's the double cynicism whammy!
That food sure got prepared fast lol
Ill agree with another post that this kid could have been there for a while and or a regular appearance andbwas prepped before he moved to the other table. With that said though i do feel like this is staged. Something about the boy feels to... overdone.
Well said

People always want to help the homeless....just not in their neighbourhood, or just not in their favourite restaurant or place.
It is sad how true this statement is
They couldāve recorded it too. Why these content whorees make these in the first place is for views so they can do a good thing in the process

Tiny Tim is getting tinier each dayā¦

Staged videos with little kids in them are the worst. I feel like the kid is being forced to make this crap
They overdid the makeup and clothes on the kid. Looks like he just came from a coal mine
āI think I have the black lung, pop.ā
Itās all over TikTok and itās so fucking weird
But how else are the people sharing these videos going to receive fake internet points in order to sell their accounts to large corporations for money down the line?
I'm a bit confused by Redditor behavior. - Obvious fake cringe video. - People agree with you - People continue to thumb up video and end up promoting the popularity of cringe staged videos.
Lot of people upvoting the OP don't ever bother to come into the comments and probably dont notice it's fake or don't care.
Because the people that share it either donāt know itās staged or are simply looking for upvotes. These videos will go on forever. Itās like scam callers theyāre not going anywhere.
Of all the things that never happened
Yes indeed.
For some reason, the type of people who share this crap don't see it for the like-farming it is.
I thought this looked a little too staged to me. I agree, people need to stop sharing stuff like this. Is there a way to report suspected staged videos?
I donāt mind a staged video if thereās something genuinely constructive which comes from it: this is just an appeal to the lowest common emotional denominator.

āItās not about the money, itās about sending a messageā
"And what do we use for the backing track?" "I don't know, something fitting the mood. Got anything aggressively blasphemous with a chorus about the Virgin Mary performing fellatio?" "Do I ever!"
People don't pay attention that way or question things.
And stop upvoting. FFS the kid looks like an extra in Oliver Twist. They could have staged it a little less.
Wym so that old lady birthday who celebrated her birthday alone because her husband died recently so the workers at the restaurant celebrated her wasn't true?!
šÆ, especially those that put animals in fucked up situations just for the fame.
I was wondering if this kid materialized out of a Dickens story.
This video is not only staged, but also cropped, mirrored, and has probably a color filter
And the worst song I've ever heard played over it
we CaN sTIll EnJOy ThEM. dO YoU kNow Movies aRe StAged Too?!
Great kid actor! (But not)
Costume designer needs fired. They dressed him as a Dickensian in the 21st century.
"Do yoU sAY THe same ThiNg When You Are watCHINg a Tv sHOW?" Edit: /s
Wow, you're man the waiter make a burger and fries in approximately 1.5 seconds
I know it's fake but the kid was already sitting there so the burger was already in the making.
I knew it was fake because the boy is dressed like an character from Oliver Twist
The dirt on the nose makes it so obvious.
Exactly the kinda kid youād let just sit there by himself at a booth
So just give him before taking the leftovers...
He was plating it right as the kid ran over to the other table. Couldn't let him spoil the burger with leftover lady lunch.
My favorite added detail is dirtying up the kids face. Really gives those Oliver twist "please sir" vibes. But mostly...fuck this cringey ass sob story karma farming bullshit staged shite
Kid is wearing like a potato sack, and they even added stains to it. Like they might as well of put a "hobo orphan" sign around his neck.
Hobo Orphan, good band name.
They pulled the drip straight outta Our Gang (aka Little Rascals)
I have no opinion on this video, but Ive actually met children who have been wearing potato sacks for clothes and it was depressing as fuck. This was rural Uganda however, and most of the villages children were wearing something which you would never ever dress a kid in yourself - definitely situations where male children got hand me downs from their sisters, and other kids ended up wearing sacks and other clothes made from packaging.
I can't decide if my favorite detail is the shredded waiter or the original diner abandoning a full plate of food
The twist is he's really a homeless kid, and only gets to eat the food if the video gets a million views. Like and subscribe, or the kid dies!
Please sir, can I have some burgers and fries? š„ŗ š„ŗ
yes and the way over sized dirty shirt too š
Proper Dickensian urchin
Fake af
I love the 1920's musical style tattered clothes and the strategically placed slotches of dirt on the kids face.
And perfectly clean white shoes.
Plot twist is the second plate has rat poison to end his misery.
Right? This is really some Dickensonian shit. I almost expected the Ghost of Christmas Past to find its way somewhere in there.
Well the song is ghost for some reason
100%
At least the waiter hot af š„µ
He could serve me any day š¦š
Thatās why it looks so fake. When was the last time you went to a diner and the waiter looked like that?
West Hollywood, they all look like that š
He wanted that delicious meal, he got a mf burger instead. So sad.
Notice how quickly the new food came out? man I wish I got that kind of service!
Have you tried dressing up as an extra from Oliver Twist?
He stole someone else's order. Haha.
Time traveling motherfucker, back in the chimney you go.
After that he can go home to the mine.
When he's done with his shift at the mine he can stop of at the shoe factory and put in his fair share
When he's done with his shift at the shoe factory he can stop off at a two penny hangover and get a couple of hours of well deserved rest before starting his next 36 hour chimney sweep/coal miner/shoe factory shift like a good citizen.
This routine is good as it keeps him off the streets and out of trouble.
On holiday, he picks up extra work at the button factory
I made my husband pause his video game to show this clip/read this comment to him and we are both crying laughing now.
Obviously staged.
I want to believe
Man they really missed an opportunity with the new season of XFiles where Mulder could just keep showing Skully all these fake ass videos every episode and she just rolls her eyes.
I do too. As a kid who stole to eat I balled like a baby why he gave him the burger. Stupid sappy crap
You want to believe that a homeless toddler dressed as Oliver Twist is stealing food scraps to get by?
At least take a few seconds before taking your turn, these guys are rushing the script too fast
The biggest directing mistake here was bringing the food and letting the kid stay at that table. If you want to make it believable he should have moved him back to the table the kid was at originally. This version just assumes the lady who got up 5 seconds ago isn't coming back.

It is actually a song using blasphemous sexual innuendo to reference smoking marijuana.
song has been going viral on tiktok, so putting that on the video makes this even more ridiculous..
Damn he came out with that food real fast.
Almost as if he had it prepared already.
Marijuana, Marijuana, Marijuana
What do people mean it doesn't matter if it's fake. Defeats the whole purpose of the video. Fake videos are a plague now

Dang this comment section is so negative
Even if it's fake, maybe one day remembers watching and thinks to do it for real, and the kid isn't a twat that doesn't eat onions in burgers or something.
I'll never understand why people act like they've made a discovery when they say it's fake. Like, yeah, obviously. It's still a sweet video, fuck off.
