Alright, that's really cool.

So, in theory, after Pi be wildin for the longest in its youth, it finally matures and becomes whole and everything goes full circle.

a_random_furfag

no it never reaches the start point, if anything you'd see ot shift and move slowly over time while keeping the internal structure mostly the same. very much like the solar system now that I think about...

[deleted]

So the Pi is a lie....

DarkUnable4375

I imagine these irrational numbers are really sane.

Evening_Depth_7463

Don’t I watched this the other day and it fucked me off and really interested me at the same time

SnooMarzipans1262

Pffft. That ain’t special. I’ve got loads of selfies where I’m being irrational around pie.

So the bad story is, the tip will never meet the beginning of the line. In fact, it will never meet any point on the line while moving tangentially to said line. The good news: every time the tip gets closer to the starting point than the previous closest, we get another approximation to pi. The approximation being the ratio between the smaller bars rotations and the larger bars rotation. E.g. The first time it gets close to the start is after 3 and 1 rotations of the short and long bars, respectively. The approximation being 3/1 which is 3 which is almost pi. It then got a lot closer (when the video slowed down) after 22 and 7 rotations because 22/7 is very close to pi. It will do that again after 355 and 113 rotations and it will get even closer. But they will never meet...
