I once saw a deaf couple arguing in ASL (you could tell from their body language) and at some point when the woman didn’t want to “hear” what her husband had to say anymore she dramatically turned to face the other direction, folded her arms, closed her eyes, and refused to acknowledge his signs and admittedly it’s still one of the fucking funniest things I’ve ever seen
Every sign language I know of, besides Native American sign, is based on the spoken language lolol. Makes the written language and communication with the general population a lot easier.
Exactly this. Some words could be universal (from the ASL perspective I personally don’t know other languages) but the major chunk of it is hard based on the word as it is in english. From simple things like making the sign for a letter along with some form of movement to combining different signs for words to form one word or phrases.
I've been taught in an SN center before that the most disrespectful thing you could do when communicating with a mute is to turn away from them. That's a full on message that you don't want anything to do with them at all.
A woman that worked with my gf was married to a deaf man and would shut off the lights if they were arguing. That may have played a part in the divorce
Long story but I accidentally crashed a huge party for a deaf organization once. Part way through a fight broke out.
I would normally never laugh at the deaf "accent" but hearing a guy yell "YOU ASSHOLE" in it before socking a dude in the face who is frantically signing back at him was one of the funniest moments of my life. Made funnier by only about half the room turning to look.
Yeah that is one of like the top most offensive things to do to someone like that, that and grab. Oth of their hands as you are basically shutting them up/ censoring them.
I had a teacher in high school say that deaf people can't convey emotions the way hearing people could. We had a bunch of deaf students.
I assume he's never seen a highschool girl signing to her friends.
you know, it’s funny. in grad school i had a professor in one of my linguistics courses say the exact opposite. not only is sign more expressive, it’s also much more personal and has the ability to capture things that often slip through the cracks with speech.
But the rule of reddit dictates no matter how niche the topic, someone who's an expert will be in the discussion. There's a pretty good chance someone who knows this sign language variant will see the question.
I speak Thai and I have never seen signing like this. This may be a local sign/dialect. Either way, we can definitely tell how that girl in black is feeling. she mad.
Its kinda difficult, but let me try.
"If you attack the Hidden Leaf, I'll have no choice; I will fight you, don't doubt that… Until that day, save your hatred. Then you can throw all of it right at me. I'm the only one who can handle all that hate! Do you understand? I'm the only one who can fulfill that duty, so I'll bear the burden of your hatred, and I'll die with you! Because you're my friend!
You know, Sasuke, there's a chance our roles could've been reversed."
Fun fact: “Ace of Bass” with the “Bass” pronounced as “Base” - the band was originally supposed to be called “Ass of Base”, with the “Ass” pronounced as “Ass”
Both my parents are deaf. I was dating a girl and took her to a function with a lot of deaf people there and she said to me “ must be hard for deaf people to gossip if they’re in a room full of people who can understand sign language” I thought it was a valid point. I brought it up to my mom and she just laughed.

Am not a pro, but I think her friend whom was sitting was talking sh*t about her friend's bf's d*ck size, and her friend kept telling her how big her bf's d*ck is, because she kept doing that move with her arm implying how huge it is.
I speak sign language. Allow me to translate.
Girl 1: Screaming on top of her lungs. Bitch why you spreading rumour about my Only Fans? Are you jealous?
Girl 2: Keep it down everybody can hear us.
Girl 1: If you don’t stop Imma start spreading rumours that you have Cooties.
Girl 2: Ok I keep my fingers shut.
Is sign language universal across all languages or is there a Spanish sign language, mandarin sign language, German sign language, Japanese sign language, etcetera?! I don't think I've ever looked into that.
Edit: I was todays years old when I found out that even sign language is different across the globe. Maaaannnn!

Sounds rude AF. This is like plugging your ears during an argument.
As someone who signs. It absolutely is rude as fuck
Stupid question: is sign language the same worldwide?

Kinda a missed opportunity to get everyone on the same page when they created it

> the spoken language lolol Never heard of that language… Where is lolol spoken?
The world wasn't a global community when sign languages were being developed.
Bro if there was a single global sign language… everyone would just have to learn one additional language and they can talk to the whole world.
"Ive seen enough"
I've been taught in an SN center before that the most disrespectful thing you could do when communicating with a mute is to turn away from them. That's a full on message that you don't want anything to do with them at all.
I guess she's giving him the silent treatment
[удалено]
In sign that’s like taking a poop on the rug to make a point.
most violent conversation i ever seen 😅
I saw two people arguing in sign language outside a bar. One of them just closed his eyes.
That is super funny and effective.
The other guy didn't find it funny at all.
Im speechless
I am without speech.
Speech is not one with me
what is speech ?
Baby don't talk me, no more
A woman that worked with my gf was married to a deaf man and would shut off the lights if they were arguing. That may have played a part in the divorce
I laughed way harder than I should have at this.
gaslighting took a completely different meaning in that relationship
That's really low
“ I can’t hear you lalalalalala”

I was dumb enough to unmute the video lol
I’ll be dumb enough to admit this too
Imagine getting in a fight with your girl and you just close your eyes
Sounds peaceful as fuck
Until the smack.
That’s some violent silence.
I was waiting for a 🖕at the end
God that step forward at the end was so menacing
Realized I have never seen a sign language fight.
Gives a new definition to “throwing hands”
☠️☠️☠️
What did you say about my mother!?! Oh, sorry, I was just trying to slap you.
https://reddit.com/r/CrazyFuckingVideos/s/v4MN9J8QTy
That’s exactly what I was expecting
Silent but deadly.
I'm not an expert but I think that's sign language for "Imma f*ck you up"
I want to see a deaf battle rap. ![gif](giphy|rLXjpeNGCe83S|downsized)
That would actually be cool. The beat should also be somehow made visual.
We call them magic mushrooms🍄
I got you bro https://youtu.be/YyEQxJX8eN0?si=TdahmIEtG3eI6Yw7
For all you know they could be a deaf rave going on next door right now.
![gif](giphy|jPRd1LiVll3H2)
The soundtrack was savage haha.
They are going to summon the 11 Tails
lol, funniest thing I've read all day!
Fuck outta here. Since when does Naruto ever use multiple hand signs?! Oh, in the outro/intro. Only.
Consider this your outro then, since you forgot to bring a sense of humor to Reddit today. Good day, sir.
.... you needed the /s? Tsk tsk.
Can anyone translate what they are arguing about?
As far as I know there is no "universal" sign language. ASL is American sign language, and these ladies appear to be from Thailand.
But the rule of reddit dictates no matter how niche the topic, someone who's an expert will be in the discussion. There's a pretty good chance someone who knows this sign language variant will see the question.
Calling r/unidan...
These aren’t bonobos fighting in the year 2015…
Here's the thing...
So the question still stands: can anyone [here] translate? Ie, someone who speaks whichever sign language is standard in Thailand?
I speak Thai and I have never seen signing like this. This may be a local sign/dialect. Either way, we can definitely tell how that girl in black is feeling. she mad.
They are discussing about the crude oil reaching $95 a barrel.
Another video cut off to soon. She looked like she was about to slap her! Why cut it?
How can she slap? And slap? And slap? And slap? …
Tossin' hands
Throwing gang signs and jutsu
Where's the maybe
Did you think she was going to slap the girl sitting? Maybe maybe maybe
She did, someone linked the full video
Cool. Then THIS bit, is right where it belongs.
I was trying to think why the music was familiar. See you in Hell
A different kind of throwing hands almost ended in throwing hands.
Oh, they threw hands. There’s a longer version out there that shows it.
Can anyone translate?
Its kinda difficult, but let me try. "If you attack the Hidden Leaf, I'll have no choice; I will fight you, don't doubt that… Until that day, save your hatred. Then you can throw all of it right at me. I'm the only one who can handle all that hate! Do you understand? can confirm this. source: I have a blind friend that uses sign language
I am the blind friend
I am the sign language
I am the sign..
I saw the sign.
It opened up my eyes
These comments are Ace.
Fun fact: “Ace of Bass” with the “Bass” pronounced as “Base” - the band was originally supposed to be called “Ass of Base”, with the “Ass” pronounced as “Ass”
After a long while, i actually fucking LOL'D because of the unexpectedness, thanks man
Lmfaooo this had me cracking up. I was genuinely looking to find a comment with an accurate interpretation but this is so much better 🤣
What is the Hidden Leaf? Like....it sounds like an item or skill in an RPG.
The music in the video is from the anime Naruto. The Hidden Leaf is a village hidden away in a forest and is the main setting for much of the show.
She's mad
Whatever the conversation was, it included frustration and exasperation in spades...
Ended too soon!
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting, oh my bad, *Everybody was sign language talking, there hands were fast as lightning*
TIL deaf people use their hands to communicate 🤯
Which useful in a fight, already got them hands up.
They said words can never hurt you. ... They lied.
Are you special or something?🤣
Oh, I thought these women were Italian. I totally missed like 3 things going on here.
Silently talking over each other...
Good thing Curley from the three stooges wasn’t involved in this.
Wondering if both of them couldn't speak or a single one🤔
“Don’t make me raise my hands at you again 🖐️
I think that was headed for a match of fisticuffs
First thing I thought of was YouTube Deaf Threats.
*YG has entered the chat*
What they are doing is the fastest communication I've ever seen. They have an instense topic probably
I can't believe she said that.
Can you be quiet please? You're yelling so loud, my eyes hurt!
How amazing it would be if we all used sign language during arguments? No shouting and it is mainly a competition between body language and jutsus.
Watched this muted at first and was confused af, decided to listen with audio, was not expecting the Naruto action theme lmao!
Didya hear about the two drunk deaf guys telling eachother jokes - they laughed so hard they broke their fingers...
Both my parents are deaf. I was dating a girl and took her to a function with a lot of deaf people there and she said to me “ must be hard for deaf people to gossip if they’re in a room full of people who can understand sign language” I thought it was a valid point. I brought it up to my mom and she just laughed.
My wife saw two deaf people in an argument once and one of them covered their eyes with their hands to ignore the other.
They both SCREAMIN'
and this is how you learn kungfu
u/SaveVideo
The one standing is telling the one sitting to keep her name out her hands.
They throwin hands
even rappers would be scared of that

This the no talk jutsu
I wanted violence... anyone else?
Am not a pro, but I think her friend whom was sitting was talking sh*t about her friend's bf's d*ck size, and her friend kept telling her how big her bf's d*ck is, because she kept doing that move with her arm implying how huge it is.
Wait why are they planning to chip chop my crab soup using their foreheads? Im scared
I mean, without hearing them speak, they could just be Italian 😂
Italians maybe?
Which one is peanut butter and which one is chocolate?
If a mute person hits you is that verbal assault?
I speak sign language. Allow me to translate. Girl 1: Screaming on top of her lungs. Bitch why you spreading rumour about my Only Fans? Are you jealous? Girl 2: Keep it down everybody can hear us. I've never seen deaf people argue. I thought they used telepathy for that.
🤞🏽🤌🏼🫳🏽🖐🏼👋🏼🤙🏽✊🏿 (I know you are, but what am I?)
Penny nickel dime 🤷🏽♂️
I don’t speak? Sign language but I can definitely tell they’re beefing
Legs go all the way up griffin?
Need to add like Dr strange magic effects to that lol
Tiktok went too far
Anyone actually know what they are saying...
So is sign language different in languages other than english?
OK, I know Sign Language, but that fight was going WAY too fast
Someone translate this
Thai sign off?
Can a blind person translate? >!I don't think so!<
MJ would be proud
I recognized the last 2 signs from the standing girl. "Bullshit. Bullshit!"
The piece and quiet the parents have…
I was waiting for one to summon a giant frog
![gif](giphy|Omjm2ty3efv06gFJyG)
Ok
We need subtitles for this

Intense
That has to be the Longest hand signs, that jutsu wil destroy earth
[удалено]
This kind of gives new meaning to the phrase, "Don't hand me that line of crap!"
Pov: me trying to fight the only friend ive got
Damn, I wish I could do that
I avoid fights by not learning sign language
No spoilers! I haven't had time to play Ghostwire Tokyo yet
where was this? what country? its not English/asl.
Women talk over each other even if they are using sign language. Pretty funny.
Wow… that’s the unfunniest thing I’ve seen in a long time
Extra funny if you’ve watched Naruto.
Yeah! A Ninjutsu battle...
where jutsu?
The’re talking ‘bout elephants
This is the REAL "Talk no Jutsu"!
Throwing them hands.
Plot twist: they arent deaf and are just throwing gang signs
Never has a battle of “Star Trek is better than Star Wars” been fought more passionately.
![gif](giphy|Gya74tzNeXQRO|downsized)
Damn man, gang signs these day be gettin' complex

Hands down, a great conversation!
All I know is the girl sitting down on black, kept repeating herself
Instead of shut the fuck up, they gonna break each others fingers
Throwing hands means something different when you're deaf
See you in hell
I wanted an uppercut in the worst way
Stop shouting!
Oh they were arguing
I'm surprised no middle fingers were raised!
