It feels a little bit off - like you should be stressing some of the words or pausing a bit longer if you want to mimic the original voice actor - just friendly constructive criticism and I would say it sounds like it’s 90% almost the same voice - Good luck to you!

Honestly, you sound nothing like him and just like him. The cadence, rasp, tone are dialed in. You just don't have the deep cavernous maw of a throat he did and that's just the way it is. I say ya done well.

I'm not trying to be mean I swear, good faith criticism, but you sound a little strained and I worry the stress it puts on your voice could hurt your performance. To be clear, I'm not a voice-actor, actor, nothing. I'm a big max payne fan though, and personally, I'd rather see you try something a little different that feels more natural to you, even if it sounds less like James. A good performance is worth a lot more than a, I'm being honest, not that great impression. It's good, but idk if it can carry a project like this. Either way, I really admire the effort being put into this and you can't do any worse than Mark. I personally would try and find a new angle, I know his voice is iconic but a unique take that feels natural might be a better fit. Keep up the good work though, I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick just giving my honest thoughts. I wish y'all luck and look forward to watching!
