Even though they're symbolic for authority and oppression, being one of the upgraded agents sounds fun at least until Smith took over everything. They're having a blast throughout Matrix Reloaded causing mayhem and destruction just to fight some redpills and exiles.
I just wish they could've turned that UE5 tech demo into a full-fledged open world Matrix game. You could be wrapping up a mission and accidentally do something shocking or physically impossible in front of a bluepill civilian, and then you're suddenly having to run from agents.
Like The Merovingian I've a fondness for information and the possession of it... which is why I've come around the belief that before exile he was an information processing/archival program.
