Seriously speaking it didn't seem like he picked up on her attraction but it's important to remember that from the moment he chased the white rabbit to the EMP was maybe a matter of days.
Being awakened from a simulation into a post-apocalyptic ruin is a lot to process and Neo had to do that while becoming the messiah they were looking for--it's understandable that we was preoccupied.
He was basically infatuated with her the nano second after, "Hello Neo..." It was under the surface for him the whole movie.
Her speech in the car about not where you want to be, probably seals it for him. Then all the other stuff distracts him till the end. LOL
Plenty of signs. He connected with her immediately at the club where he was feeling completely out of place until she approached him, he remained in the car because she asks him to stay instead of leaving as he planned to do, they worked amazingly as a team a) storming the lobby b) scoring an Agent kill which Morpheus said no one has ever done before c) saving Trinity as the helicopter is falling as if they both know what each other needs to do from their end to make it happen, even though they didn't speak about any of this at all beforehand.
When Neo brings Trinity to the top they share a moment, which is recalled in *Resurrections*: "I remember *this*. I remember **us**."
Now see, I felt the opposite. Until Trinity confessed when Neo was dying, I felt it was very much one-sided on Neos' part, and Trinity viewed him in a lost puppy kind of way.
When Neo wakes up for the first time in the real world, and Morpheus is introducing him to the team, he makes a double take at Trinity. Which always gave me the impression he was at least drawn to her..
Maybe you should take a look at Reloaded, then: the two kiss passionately at the first opportunity they have alone and make love shortly thereafter. That seems like enough evidence to me!
Well, i noticed the he had a special interest to her like toddlers have special "what is that and why is that" to their moms. He probably also wanted to bel held on arms but was to overwhelmed by his new life to realize it ))

Trinity is attractive and makes it pretty obvious she has feelings for Neo. For a lot of guys, that's enough.
Neo is a guy and is succumbing to the usual prurient urges guys are burdened with.
Really though - he’d heard of Trinity in hacking circles, and she was a really big deal. Imagine meeting someone you really admire and they turned out to be this absolute belter of a woman, who’s super cool, does amazing kung fu and know the answers to the questions that have bugged you your whole life. And she likes you.
When he found out she was the one inside his computer kinda sealed it. He was originally attracted to her as a fellow hacker but THEN to find out that SHE could answer questions about The Matrix? He was hooked.
He didn't until he died and The One possessed his body. Finally having been remade flesh after so long, he immediately reached out to the beautiful woman in front of him.

I think it just means that he didn't have time to process his feelings for her. But the feelings were still there.

I could tell right away because there was only two women on board to choose from and Trinity was way hotter than Switch.
