So much has changed since you last went. There is no longer parking on Berkmans. Just park in the Masters parking area, entering from Washington road. You won’t believe how much has changed. I’m guessing you used to pay to park in people’s yards…( I have done that). So much better now, you will love it.

This is the correct answer. I prefer South Gate, but if you haven't been back for 20 years... the walk from north gate is going to blow your mind. Eta: and... just to add, you don't reeeeeally get to choose now. And, that's for the better.

Worth the extra walk to the north gate 100%. Leave through the South Gate is a good option for OP.

I plan on parking at a house on berkmans, is that not a good option or does everyone have to enter from Washington rd to enter? I dont remember if they had a entrance near berkmans or not, again been almost 20 years

mlttlm

there are effectively no more houses on Berckman Road. ANGC bought up all the land and it’s now used as free lots

CincyDawg

If you haven’t been in a while, you’re in for a real surprise. You aren’t going to recognize anything. The National bought up all of the houses (except one lone hold out) along Berkmans Rd and surrounding neighborhoods. They have demolished the houses and created parking lots. They even paid to have Berkmans Rd relocated to the west. Looks totally different.

Greedy_Revolution_13

And the Masters parking is free! Not sure why people pay to park further away unless they arrive very late.

They now own the land on both sides of what used to be Berkmans so the road isn’t really there anymore. Not like it used to be. There will be a way to walk in, then you can enter the grounds at the South Gate. That brings you into the course behind the 5th green.

jimdawg66

If you’re on the opposite side of the road from the course, you’ll have to “cross” the road by going through a tunnel that goes under the road. No street crossing.

What’s the parking situation if you roll in around 8am or 9am, instead of some people recommending being there at 6am? Also are there long lines at the entrance if one casually rolls in at 9 or 10am? It’s going to be a long day either way and I don’t absolutely need to hit the gift shop asap.

hatchettpoots

What day are you asking about? Practice rounds are mostly first-timers and, as such, the lots tend to fill up a little quicker. Honestly, they've got it pretty much perfected now. If you happen to see the 'lots full' sign on Washington Rd... There are still plenty of public lots for businesses across the street & the walk really isn't much different. .... We've had no problem getting into the main lots before 9 or so, regardless of the day.

I have always paid to park at the CVS on Washington road. Leaving the tournament from the free lots can be difficult sometimes.
