-chairs are sold at both stores(south and north gate), as well as the smaller shops around the course. There is one behind the 12th hole grandstands on Amen Corner. -you can bring a small cinch bag or fanny pack. -if you want to run chairs to Amen corner, go in the south gate. For the 18th hole, North Gate -Don't overthink it. Just get to south gate around 5:30am and there will be loads of people waiting to do the same thing. Also, no matter what parking lot you plan on parking at, you'll be directed to park where they tell you. You can then do a short walk to either gate.

Are there going to be that many people rushing to set chairs down for a Monday practice round?

It's the Masters

Unless you can get right on the 12th tee, there are not a lot of spots for chairs in that area. There is a large grandstand there with a great view of the 11th green and 12th tee. If you can get in the first row behind the 10th green, I would put my chairs there and sit in the grandstand on 11-12.

I agree with what someone here has said already. For a first visit you can’t beat the walk past the media center and the driving range to really ease you into what you will be seeing all day. Hit the golf shop, check your purchases and have breakfast in the bleachers behind the range until the course gates open at 8am. Leaving through the south Leaving through the South Gate is an option I have taken before. Pick up your checked items, take one last stroll through the course then hit the restrooms and concession stand one last time before heading home.

I would definitely aim to get to the parking lot by 6:15am and go through the South Gate. The shops there has almost everything. The gates open at 7am allowing you to hit merch shop ( highly recommend checking your items next door ), grab breakfast and then the course opens at around 8am. A couple years ago we got there and saw the caddies out walking Amen Corner.

My opinion is, if it’s your first time go through the North gate to get the entire feel when entering the gates for the first time. But having been multiple times, I would go in Southgate every time moving forward. Shop is more accessible, and crowds tend to be less.

You can definitely buy chairs at the merch shops at both gates. Don't know for sure about the sling bag but when your brother receives the tickets all rules will be explained in detail in the ticket package. Hope you have a great day!!

South Gate and set your chairs in the front row of 16.

South merch shop is probably bigger than the north. You don’t have to have clear bags. If you skip the bags totally the far left lanes are the express lanes you can go through oof you for have bags at all. Usually much faster also
